pitimany Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Case Phong, gen dial, zenith Mov, gen hands and gen bracelet. Missing the hour wheel, any ideas where can I buy a hour wheel for a Rlx 4030 ? Thanks, P
freddy333 Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 It look like you have everything there, so what are you waiting for? I want to see a completed watch, not parts. Just kidding. Good luck with your project & enjoy the ride.
tgchrono2 Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 hey this is my ''dream watch''. If you complete your project then sell it to me..............

freddy333 Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Sorry, I missed the part about the missing hour wheel. Other than ebay, I would contact a few EU ADs to see if they can order it for you.
Guest Sql_pl Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Nice parts you have there! Especially that SEL bracelet! What's your plan of assembling? You have somebody that can take care of the hand tubes? I am stuck for couple of months because of these damn hands....
pitimany Posted September 22, 2008 Author Report Posted September 22, 2008 I'm also waiting for The Zigmeister (looks like January).
RWG Technical Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Is the movement a Rolex one, or a Zenith one? I ask because I am not sure if there is a difference in parts between the two. If it's marked as Zenith PH3019 (if my memory is correct) then you should be able to order a wheel for it from any supply shop. If you can identify the movement it would help, I can probably source one from my supplier. RG
Guest Sql_pl Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 I talked to a watchsmith today and I hope I can see the light! On thursday I will show him how it looks like (will have to make a 200 mile round trip to do so) and he should be able to help. I keep my fingers crossed until then. Oh and BTW I actually got a rolex canon pinion and hour wheel for 4030 - but what I got as hour wheel does not really look like it even though it came in rolex packaging - will let you know once I show it to the guy. Anyone knows how an hour wheel should look like? Like a regular gear or how? What I got is white/silver, small and looks like some kind of seal more than a gear.
tmg Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Wow, nice project P, looks like you're off to a great start and will have a beauty when she's done. Keep us posted on the progress, I always love these posts!
pitimany Posted September 22, 2008 Author Report Posted September 22, 2008 Thanks R, EBEL 134 Movement - Chronograph - 31 Jewels Is the movement a Rolex one, or a Zenith one? RWG Technical Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Then my guess would be that it takes a standard El Primero hour wheel... Jules Borel or Ofrei should have it, if not, let me know on email and I'll see what I can find. RG
freddy333 Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 I doubt Ofrei would have it, but Borel (& cousinsuk.com) probably does.
pitimany Posted September 22, 2008 Author Report Posted September 22, 2008 Thanks R, I'll call Borel, tomorrow. Then my guess would be that it takes a standard El Primero hour wheel... Jules Borel or Ofrei should have it, if not, let me know on email and I'll see what I can find. RG
milsub5517 Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 im comparing this supposedly gen dial to your dial, looks like they are very different... are they for different daytona models?
stilty Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 I think there are 5 different dial styles for the 16520. check doubleredseadweller.com, they should have a listing.
rolex001 Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 milsub's dial is not very good for a 16520 project... it's a 116520 dial with seconds at six.
pitimany Posted September 24, 2008 Author Report Posted September 24, 2008 black dial milsub's dial is a new daytona, 116520, Rolex movement
freddy333 Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 If that is your newly completed 16520, then it is beautiful.
pitimany Posted September 24, 2008 Author Report Posted September 24, 2008 thanks freddy, but this was completed before (early feb).
