Shouldn't the numbers and markers be a bit more recessed into the dial?

Looks like they were on a previous version of that dial:

Cheers!

Personally I think that the new dials lume is much more accurate than the old one. The old one seems almost like a sandwich dial. The new one seems to have the sandwich filled in with the lume.

it looks sooo close.. if only the numbers would have been a little more "crooked" then it would have been 99.9% accurate...

but still very nice indeed!

I have the 201a on order and totally can't wait for this one. I find myself more and more into the pre V pams.... In fact, the 183 is the only one I currently have that isn't.

As far as I know the answer to that is "no" not without modification. Ask mark about that.

Here is mine with the early Davidsen dial. This is a sandwich dial that I have filled with lume. The biggest problem with it is the white lettering is not white enough.

Davidsens CG's will not fit non Davidsen cases without modification. The screw holes are too small and do not align with the case holes. The pin should be visible. Also the CG has the wrong shape lever and side profile. The Pre-A's CG looks like this from the side:

I hope Davidsen would consider re-designing the CG's as they are actually not right at all.

One thing about the gen crown guard that is simply good design, and something I've never seen on a rep is how the crown guard gets larger (thicker) as it moves away from the case. This is nice because it exposes more of the crown and makes for easier winding. Hopefully, we will see a good one in the future.
