mwee Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 Hi Need all Pam experts to cime in on this movement. Is it any good or same as the other rep movements? Please any opinions would really be appreciated as am looking into buying this. Thanks!
chefcook Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 where can I buy this movement with Incabloc instead of the reps standard KIF shock protection?
mwee Posted October 6, 2008 Author Report Posted October 6, 2008 where can I buy this movement with Incabloc instead of the reps standard KIF shock protection? OK. what is the difference between this and say a Swiss Unitas movement. Thanks, Mark
chefcook Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 OK. what is the difference between this and say a Swiss Unitas movement. Thanks, Mark The movement shown in your first post is accurate to the gen regarding the shock protection on the balance. The swan neck regulator looks far better , too. If you can source a second one, please PM me!
athan Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 It looks gen to me!!! My only doubt is on the font... http://www.panerai.com/s_dett_prodotto.xpd...&id_vista=2
greg_r Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 Looks like a gen to me too. If the watch is being sold as a rep at rep prices, then I would doubt the authenticity of the photos - have they really posted a photo of the watch they're selling, or are they trying to pull a fast one?

Hi. This is a rep and only the movement.. It is slightly more expensive than a Swiss Unitas movement that why the post to ask for opinion on whether its good or not as I am no expert! Many thanks for all the replies and I will update on any news or pics.

mjmurphy926 Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 Looks very good to me compared to the gen. The font may still be slightly thick, but it looks pretty good and the balance/swan neck assembly looks good too. I'd like to see higher res photos. Gen on top:
chefcook Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 I hope there'll be a source for this wonderful movement

fakemaster Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 You won't have any trouble with that.
mwee Posted October 9, 2008 Author Report Posted October 9, 2008 More information. I just fuond out that is is actually a Asian Unitas movement with engraving of the "officine Panerai" and also installation if the incabloc. I am ordering one and will take pics of it when it arrives. This one will go to my 111 project!
