We should all ask him if he knows it's a fake, so that way he doesn't get in trouble for counterfeiting!

The seller knows perfectly well it is fake, otherwise he would not have resorted to the faker's trick of using dark, (purposely) out-of-focus pictures. A classic (albeit not-too-clever) scammer.

I don't think he's trying to fool anyone, he just has to play dumb to list it on Ebay. People are willing to pay $1000 for "Swiss Grade A" replicas until they find places like this.
