sander
I'm almost sure it's fake. Guess he doesn't know. http://cgi.ebay.com/Panerai-Ferrari-FER-00...A1%7C240%3A1318

Wolf
It is indeed fake. I might pay $48.50 for it not $4,850.
jockl1978
A little amazing that he has a 100% feedback rating... Unless Ferrari uses A 7750 without regulator, I would agree its fake. The question is, does he really not know?
coolfire
Unless Ferrari uses A 7750 without regulator, I would agree its fake. The question is, does he really not know? Precisely why i stated that it's amazing he's got perfect feedback. Equally amazing is that he actually cracked open the caseback to let the world admire A 7750 (pun intended...) kitersoze
i was just curious, does that happen often on ebay? either A) he doesn't know he's selling a fake or he does know and is actually hoping the buyer won't notice once they get it? db1
"This is a screaming deal on an automatic 44mm chronograph Panerai. " yeah right... this deal is more likely to scream FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE. i am no expert in PAMs or the ferrari pams, but this guy shows the movement- which is in my opinon, and correct me if im wrong, not even a swiss 7750 and to make things even more straight forward- "We took this watch on trade and it has no box or papers. What you see is what you get. We had the watch checked out by our Panerai expert ..." (i think it is very vey rare, maybe even close to non-existing, to trade a $10,000, rare, luxury watch without asking for at least the papers!!) also shows very good sign of a scam artist with amazingly and strangely good feedback !! maybe he doesnt know what he had got there? i mean, maybe his "expert" told him the watch is genuine so he follow his advice eye folded. db1 Edited November 26, 2008 by db1
coolfire
I seriously feel that ebay should credit RWG for making their job of sifting out scam jobs easier!
sander
I seriously feel that ebay should credit RWG for making their job of sifting out scam jobs easier! I do agree with you. I've got a really nice reply from him and he told me that he's looking for a new Pam expert. I offered him to do it for only $ 100,- per inspection. veyron
He knows it, 100%. Every watch seller/ people who knows a lot of knows this is a replica if you check the movement. Why did he make a pic where the rotor hide's the regulator/swiss markings that aren't there? I think he got scammed by somebody else and know tries to sell it so he get's his funds back

DrTime
Any PAM on ebay with no box or papers is FAKE. Any watch of value with distant and crummy pictures is FAKE. Therefore that watch is fake.
anton
To defend the seller of the Ferrari model, he is not a shady dealer or scam artist. He guarantees all his pieces and gladly refunds promptly if a watch he sells are found to be fake. Throughout his history he has sold primarily dive watches and has sold some rare PAM gems (Chronozilla, Subzilla, Slytechs). We all know that the Ferrari models (aside from the gold reps) are good copies and could fool any so-called expert. But I am glad that Eric is looking for a new specialist and hopefully he won't get scammed again. Shame on the person who owned that Ferrari rep!
