DemonSlayer
Usually I'm pretty good at telling, but this one seems to have tell-tale signs it's a gen. What do you guys think:
smc
Looks like a gen 2836 to me, but then what do I know. Can you post another pic with the rotor turned 180 degrees?
DemonSlayer
Thanks for your input smc, I'll take another pic later on in the day, its 7:12 AM here and pitch black!
FxrAndy
Looks gen but the 2836 stamping could be better
alligoat
I'm with smc, take a pic w/ rotor turned 180 degrees. But so far so good. You could pop the little metallic piece off the rotor (that says Rolex) and see what the rotor says underneath. Rotors are unmarked these days, but I'm not sure if that is proof that it's a copy movement.

DemonSlayer
Thanks for the input guys. I removed the rotor and took a look at the two gears depicted on EuroTimez post on how to spot clone movements. They have more holes, cementing my thought that it's gen ETA, and the silver gear is brushed not polished. I agree Andy, the stamping could be better, but I am happy that I got a gen ETA movement, it's pretty rare to find them these days.
RWG Technical
I say genuine as well. RG
DemonSlayer
I say genuine as well. RG Thanks The Zigmeister and all those who gave their input. Goes to show there are still some out there, but I think they're mostly in the 'old stock' watches.
Krayfish
That's nice to see a rolex stamp on the rotor! Where is it from? Any more pics of the watch?
