Guest HaloArchive Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 I dont know if you guys have seen this site. It has loads of gen PAM's and a few others. Here is the alarm clock (I might just have to snatch that): http://www.watchuwant.com/watches-for-sale...rm-Clock-2.html Please browse around it and enjoy the view -Halo
Watchmeister Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 Halo- If you are seriously considering buying it you should check the bay. I believe they come up reasonably frequently and usually sell in the $1500-$1600 area (or less). Watchuwant are very reliable but typically not well priced.
peepshow Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 ...Watchuwant are very reliable but typically not well priced. LOL You can say that again, W! ~$7K for a DLC'd Zero?
Merlin Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 i know the pannies have a good name and are very well built - but what the f** is up with these guys selling a quartz alarm clock for 2600??????
Watchmeister Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 i know the pannies have a good name and are very well built - but what the f** is up with these guys selling a quartz alarm clock for 2600?????? What do you mean? AP wants to charge me $2,000 for a non-alarm quartz movement for an old European RO. Isn't that the standard price?
Watchmeister Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 No but you can go for the wall clock.
Guest HaloArchive Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 Thanks for the tip Kruzer Rep+ to you!
FxrAndy Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 At 52mm why not put a strap on that! only a bit bigger than a Fiddy I would rather it have an angulus 8 day mech movement though price though
esdee Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 i would add two wire lugs (aka radiomir) rotate the dial and mod it into a wrist watch, i can wear 52mm case no prob ...
elisiX Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 I read either here, repgeek or paneristi that someone actually did that. Had to be a custom strap though due to the double crown being on the top.
doc savage Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 If you do a google search for "panerai travel clock replica", dozens of the cheesy scam sites are selling a rep (with gen photos) for around $245. This means that there probably IS a cheap rep of this clock out there, only a matter of time before it shows up at one of the trusted shops with some legit photos. Something for our friends in China to look out for.
kenneth2 Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 savage so there is hope for a nice rep thanks If you do a google search for "panerai travel clock replica", dozens of the cheesy scam sites are selling a rep (with gen photos) for around $245.
