TeeJay
Okay, I've finally got to grips with my new graphics package, and cobbled together my plans for V2.0 of my GMT Sub. Ingredients SeaDweller case and bracelet. GMTIIC Bezel Insert, minute and GMT Hand, and movement. Vintage-style Submariner dial and hour hand (sword style). I don't know if it'll all fit together, but I'm hoping it'll work out to look something like this (imagine the ceramic bezel insert) What do folks think? Should I give it a go? TeeJay
Well you've got my attention TJ. Go on give it a go and keep the pictures coming. JTB Thanks, Jon I guess the worst outcome is that the insert won't fit into the SD bezel, and I'll just have to build it in the GMTIIC case I probably won't have the spare cash to do this for about six months, but I wanted to get people's feedback before committing cash to a project which could never work Fantastic, love it! Thanks, bro
TeeJay
Another quick thought, here's how it'd look with a traditional red GMT hand. What do folks think? Red or green? My instinct is towards green (I'd've gone with red if I was having the dial and hands in 'vintage color', rather than just 'vintage-style')

TeeJay
I'd guess.. rep logic, rlx logic: bezel will not fit dial will not fit Is that a guess, or a definite? If it's definite, well, it'll save me buying an SD for no reason
fakemaster
I don't see why it wouldn't work. Cool idea.
TeeJay
I don't see why it wouldn't work. Cool idea. Thanks, bro, although I'm a little confused, as you've also written: Different size I believe. If the insert was the wrong size, might the entire bezel assembly be transplantable (with a little work, of course ) instead? I mean, sure, if the worst comes to the worst, I'll just use the GMTIIC case (and hopefully be able to swap the bracelet ) but I really like the case of the SeaDweller I've seen, and figuring as that's the Submariner's DoubleHard bastard big brother, I figured why not use that case, and get the best of everything in it
