chessmonster
HOw can you tell if a movement on a watch you just bought is really the 28000 bph that you paid the extra money for? Looking at mine the movement looks semi smooth, but i can still see it beating. How can i tell if this really is a 28000 bph replica? Thanks guys. freddy333
The only way to know is to take it to a watchmaker & have him test it on a timer.
chessmonster
Is the movement suppose to be just a little bet jagged on a 28000bph? i would think at that rate it would be completley smooth..but mine is not.

Mickey Padge
In a quiet room with the watch to your ear, it should sound like 7-8 beats per second. Not all watches are equal though, some second hand sweeps will look worse/better than others.... Cheers!

looseends
There's still a detectable beat at 28800, very small but visible close up. From about a foot or so back, it will look smooth. A 21600 will have a more obvious beat, and from 1 foot away you can still see it. There's a definite audible difference between a 28800 and 21600, but I don't know how to describe that unless you have a watch to compare. I have a couple ETA 2836-2s, and there's an obvious difference between those and one Asian 21J 21600 I have. Now I can compare by sound. 28800 is much more enjoyable. But really you'd have to open it up and compare the movement to images to know exactly what movement you have.
vric
If you talk about the 7750, the lack of regulator is a good sing of 28k.
Mickey Padge
Yes, and if you use your pulse as a measure to check the watches beat rate, and it sounds about 1:1, then you're in big trouble!
kbh
If you've got nothing better to do, take a one second picture, then count:

chessmonster
Thanks for all the information. I loved the one second photo thing..really cool...wow... The watch i got is the hbb full ceramic..lucky for me it has a glass back, and you can see it has no regulator. And lucky for me there are many pictures on this site to compare. It definately has no regulator (a clear tale sign on the hbb big bang it is a fake). So i am assuming it is a 28000 bph..
