Nice work S.

i see we use the same book for this kind of work:)

It's funny becausei have achieved a same kind of work last month with the same effect dial lume, and i do a shiny gloss varnish dial with some cracks to simulate age: here pics.

Where do you find the thick caseback ?

The engraving is from the Omeris Arpesella one, i relay like this "personal" caseback; where do you do the engraving ?

I even prefer a thick full caseback instead display one:D

I hope Seniore Omeris do, and not being angry using a pic of him and his watch.

And of course Volker too because its in his famous Vintage Book.

as Clnt statet one of the best Books to learn something of Panerai history

hope to see soon the second part of Vintage Panerai

cheers Helmut

  • 4 months later...

After a 6 week wait that seemed much longer, I got my first VDB! I have to admit I never considered myself a vintage enthusiast but I had to have a VDB Cali. My build spec is almost the same as the one listed here.

My request to VDB for the build was simple...homage Cali fully vintagized with Cortebert 616 movement but in great condition (not too beat up looking)...haha

Thanks to Stephan/Helmut for the wonderful work...I'm discovering new details every day with my Cali.

Special thanks to projectologist...a fellow VDB owner whose own Cali was what got me hooked in the first place. Thank you for answering all my questions!
