I didn't have time to charge the Lume properly .. just a few minutes in the window, cloudy skies.. but here are the pics .. back from the land of Zig.

Nice! You should include a shot with the lights on, to show off the workmanship.

Ok,.. I couldn't do this when I shot these images,.. the lume was not at full power, and it was getting dark out.

btw.. if anyone's wondering .. the shutter didn't stay open long,.. imagine if I charged it under fluorescent lighting for 30 minutes.. :o .. this was just left in the window sill for a few minutes.

I wonder if they'll ever start making the numerals on the DW's lumed too, so you could read the date in dark conditions, that'd be a cool feature I think...

Yes this would make reluming rather difficult for our hobby :D

OT but Ball makes watches with a tritium-illuminated date wheel.

That lume looks spectacular Lani / Z... can't wait to see it when its charged (Actually Lani, you might not even need pictures...I may very well be able to see the blue glow over the hills to the West!!)

Actually since you've said that I've realised how stupid what I've just said was - because there'd be no way to charge the lume of the days that aren't showing in the window, so when the date ACTUALLY changes in the middle of the night it'd be dark anyway.

God.. Now I feel dumb.
