The respected popular brands in Israel, I'll have to say are Breitling, Omega and Rolex (respected but not very popular). In WIS circles the same brands are appreciated all over the world.

Yes, I read about Breitling too and interestingly Eterna was mentioned on the same level. There are some Eterna watches made for special forces like these
