Limestone Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Swiss watch-makers have teamed up with Indian fortune tellers to design a watch that claims to predict the future. http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_3250393.html?menu= Yeh.... sure...
Guest asim Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 lol they sound so desperate with who may want to wear this watch. politicians? pshh they rarely see into the past mistakes, let alone see whats coming
Fidestro Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 They actually put a bedpan on a watch. Whisky. Tango. Foxtrot.
Fidestro Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 After a little thought, I would love to take this apart and see what kind of simple modification to an eta movement they relabeled as some kind of cosmic counter. Probably a power reserve.
Fidestro Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Their website is a little less preachy: hxxp://borgeaudwatches.com/automatic.html
MasterOfPuppets Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 i cant wait till they replicate this! but i dont know about replicating the predictions, this is a whole new type of movement!! but im sure they will!
Nanuq Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Heck, my watch already predicts the future! Right now it's telling me that in one hour the time will be, um, 7:33AM.
krustybrand Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 My wife predicts the future quite well. She predicts divorce if the mailman brings one more watch-related delivery this week.
_brian_ Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 TOP SECRET TOP SECRET TOP SECRET TOP SECRET TOP SECRET TOP SECRET TOP SECRET This is from the top secret business report of the future telling watch company: "Our head of research and development Mr. Milton K., former road worker and plumber, has been working on a new moonphase module for the ETA 2824-2 movement unsuccessfully in the past four and a half years. In order to limit the vast costs of development for this new module we have decided to take the non-working masterpiece of Mr. Milton K. and cross it with a power reserve complication from Dubois-D
Fidestro Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 If you read the explanation on their website it does not mention anything about a "future telling" function, it explains this as telling when some Indian reflection time is every day. The brand appears to have stores mostly in India and surrounding that area, so I suppose it makes sense.

KB Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Anyone notice that they are making 500 for women and only 150 for men......does this tell you something I'm guessing there's a little heat sensor running from the bedpan to the base of the watch....yep it's a 1,500 GBP mood ring Ken
nikki6 Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Wonder if it could tell you where to get the best SUB from, it would save so much thread space!!
