jkirke Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 (edited) After a years worth of collecting parts, she's back from up North and onto my wrist. This was the first Panerai that I saw when first researching the brand. The simplicity of the dial and case set-up really set it off for me. The parts used were: Andrew SS case with Genuine sapphire, FGD dial, DSN hands, t_48 crown, and unknown source CG. Only part that isn't correct is the caseback, I'm waiting on word from a fellow member about it, then she'll be complete! Thanks to The Zigmeister for making this mans dream come true. She's a true beauty. Edited April 11, 2009 by jkirke
JoJo35 Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 Beautiful watch. Congrats to the owner and builder! It's nice to still have and improve your first rep. Good luck with it, and wear in good health
TswissT Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 AWESOME!!! Where did you get the cg? I am building a VERY similar watch right now.
projectologist Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 She's a true beauty. No kidding! I really like the strap choice. And your photography beautifully illustrates The Zigmeister's fine work

jkirke Posted April 11, 2009 Author Report Posted April 11, 2009 Thanks for the comments guys. I couldn't be happier with the watch. I can't wait to get the rest of the parts for my next project and send them off to The Zigmeister.
fishgodeep Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Looks superb - it's a good feeling when a plan comes together after so long!! Here's a pic of a gen from the recent link Ptolomeo posted for comparison Thanks for sharing FGD
babola Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Great one! The only thing I'd still try to do would be getting a hand-set relumed by The Zigmeister in his shade lighter T-lume, that green lume doesn't do this great watch a justice @tonryart...that's first gen DSN 201/A CG, long gone... Wear it well!
