Can someone pls confirm if this is indeed a Swiss E movement (that I paid for)? Someone over @ rg commented that this is an Asian movement.

Good choice with the Gunny strap. Today I received to Gunny straps from Peter as well. Looks quite nice.

About mods, for higher accuracy and better reliability, you could let the 6497-2 movement have serviced. Not too expensive also. Only problem is that then you could not wear it for a few weeks.

Looks asian to me ... the tell is in the Incabloc shock protector and rough finish of the movement plates/bridges.

That is a nice Fiddy !

You have to fix the pin on the crownguard and file it flat !

Look for on the search function!

That IS a swiss eta because I have never seen an asian movement with that big sized balance wheel.

On the asian the balancewheel is most of the time smaller and has a 21 000 beats/hour and the swiss one has 18 000 b/h!

Some swiss do have incablock shockabsorber that IS correct!

Nice lume too!

Wear it well

Asked DSN if the movement was indeed Swiss. His reply below:

"Pls be assured that this is 100% gen swiss movt.

do not have to sorry about this."

well i've read from others that if dsn says its gen, then its gen... BUT isnt the asian version better anyway?? using more expensive parts? someone help me on that...

So as of now it's pointing towards not being completely Swiss E movement. hmmmmm

you could still sale this fantastic combo(127+gunny) to me..... :p

It looks really lovely man. Hope you enjoy wearing it.

The mods you can do are the CG pin fix and maybe try to find a crown wheel and a ratchet wheel with polished teeth.

For the rest it seems pretty good to me.

Ciao,

Sander

PS: is it sapphire and how is the AR?

The crystal is sapphire and the AR is fairly decent and the sapphire is nicely domed.

I am getting the CG pin mod done.....however, am waiting to get a definite view on the movement...i.e. whether it's swiss/asian or a combination before I touch anything on the watch.

Cheers

This is a swasian movement in best case scenario, in worst case its all asian. But its never 100% swiss.

Unless davidsen has access to Panerai assembly line to get those engraved plates...

Really confused now if it's a Swiss E movement or an Asian one.
