slickdick Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 I've never experienced Wong telling white lies. I think what he claimes is genuine in auction, is genuine.
watchguyusa1 Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 I just asked him about this auction, the case is aftermarket, and the movt is a v72 with added bridges, the rest is gen
ken fingerlove Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 The countersinking on the screw on the bridge looks bad. Surely that is a relatively simple thing to get right? 727 movements seem pretty rare to me. I haven't seen one on eBay for months, and I fear the price of one that will/might appear.
alligoat Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 The movement is not even close The biggest tell is the pointer on the balance bridge- all wrong for a 727. You might find one on a 6234 from the early 60's- an early v72B.

You could be right about the 72B. that being said I have a 72C, 724, and a 727, and that movement that David shows just looks plain "rough" compared with any of mine. Jim
