You can clearly see the track marks attempting to turn it about before the drop. You can imagine it, flaps down, drop here, nicely done, throttle right down, ground speed around 50, and suddenly the precipice appears. Fast. Too fast. Brakes. Sphincter factor of 9.8-plus at that point I'd imagine.

Lucky escape definitely. But I'd be surprised if it was a vastly experienced pilot.
