mkuhl2000 Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Bought a few asian 21j watches from a vendor not on this board (I don't think..) and got what has to be the biggest piece of crap I have ever bought! Ordered an Omega Seamaster 007 Edition and got one that looked nothing like what he advertised. The picture I ordered from that is advertised as "ALL PICTURES TAKEN OF THE ACTUAL WATCH FOR SALE" is the watch on the right. Look at the watch on the left, what I recieved with scratched up crappy bezel insert and compare to what he claimed I would get. Plus the caseback is standard Seamaster back, not even the "40 years of James Bond" caseback. Oh..and his resolution to this P.O.S....send me a new bezel insert and the caseback. See if you can identify the problems with this rep in the picture!
ryyannon Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 The biggest problem is you not doing your homework on this forum while looking for a quick Seamaster fix. Sorry, no sympathy today. I'm in a particularly unsympathetic mood. Consider the experience as the beginning of your learning curve.....
wheaton26 Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 lol. one bad purchase will usually set you straight. stick to the dealers here. they know what they are doing.
jraines87 Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 I hope you didn't pay much for that.... :yucky:
sssurfer Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Don't worry too much: scammed people before they found their way here are countless (me included naturally): just take it as a paid-for experience. Oh, and welcome aboard! P.S.: really a piece of crap. You'd better ask if anyone is able to find any correct detail in it.
Linder Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Welcome! Most of us had a steep learning curve before finding this paradise.
got-it Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 LOL, I'm sorry I don't mean to laugh but this is too funny.
mkuhl2000 Posted August 10, 2006 Author Report Posted August 10, 2006 I hope you didn't pay much for that.... :yucky: $68.00
ryyannon Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Well, that's only $67.95 too much. Could have been much worse...
Bignasty Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 For $68 you got what you paid for. A decent SMP is going to cost at least $100 and more likely $200 for an ETA movement. Jon PS> Welcome to the forums!
chrgod Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 (edited) I have the worlds best 007 rep.... My ordinary SMP on the right has been passed to the dark drawer by this beauty... Just check out those XXL-super-solid end links! Edited August 10, 2006 by chrgod
crystalcranium Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 I have the worlds best 007 rep.... My ordinary SMP on the right has been passed to the dark drawer by this beauty... Just check out those XXL-super-solid end links! Just fix the bezel insert on both and they will be perfect!!!!! Wow, some pics of god awful reps in this thread. They look like they were made by grade school kids.
Pugwash Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Is it just me or does the He valve on the left look correct?
chrgod Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Is it just me or does the He valve on the left look correct? It is not a he-valve... It is where I keep my garotte wire.. The valve is actually a thad higher than on the SMP. Here is an old wrist shot, just for fun.
Watchmeister Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 No soup for you. Now you know better.

Consider the experience as the beginning of your learning curve..... ow! this is a pretty new member... perhaps he bought the watch BEFORE finding his way here or at least figuring out how to naviage the board...
GTS Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Wow I'm really shocked of how bad that rep is. Good luck in finding the right one my friend...
SubFrog Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Wow...that IS pretty bad. I'd swear a child put that together.
kasigi Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 The numbers on the insert look like they've been drawn on in crayon!
r11co Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Is it just me or does the He valve on the left look correct? It's just you...
kaiowas Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 i think the dial with engrave 007 look better. that will make the watch the real 007
fitmic Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Must say they look pretty bad, but hey! YOU FOUND THE PLACE FOR REPLICAS...Big welcome!
