narikaa Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 (edited) Heres some old shots of a few nostalgic pieces (will knock the cobwebs off your dialup modems!) Edited August 12, 2006 by narikaa
offshore Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 @NRG, There may well be some in that lot, but there are also some lovely and interesting pieces in my mind. 'Tis all in the eye of the beholder. Thanks Narikaa, for the trip. Have you seen any of these lately? Offshore
Gerco Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 Hi Reg, Some very interesting pieces, you're showing here. Proud to say i bought one of them from you. It's still getting wristtime. Gerco
Watchmeister Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 Thanks. Most I remember. I don't remember that Journe looking that good. That is dual time in style.
KB Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 Thanks Reg I very much enjoy that little trip down memory lane are all these watches still gettable? or is this a sad farewell? Ken
ehtolcad Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 i agree with kruzer, that journe looks pretty sweet to me
ubiquitous Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 Very neat stuff, Reg. I love those Jump Hours! Very unique, obscure stuff... The kind of watches you just don't see every day
archibald Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 Yuck! You may be too new to remember, but back in the days when the top of the line PAMs had undecorated movements and dime thin crowns, when we all would have killed for LV's we'd [censored] loudly about today, some of those would have been regarded as cutting edge rarities. Narikaa's post reminds me how jaded we've become by 98% PAMS and "perfect" rolexes--in a way I think we were more sensible back then--when I wore watches like those I got called out as often as I do when I wear my high end panerais and mullers, which is never, and I blew off a lot more flaws than I do today---and had a far more varied collection as a result. I deninitely do not miss the days when every chrono was an idiotic day-date, though.
