siesta181
Right... picked this up from my watchmaker about 2 hours ago. This project has cost me quite a fair bit. Thought I'd wait till the weekend to post picture but I can't resist... so here it is some pictures in rather harsh light. Enjoy siesta181

professor_yaffle1
As one who's heading down the same path, that looks absolutley kliller - great job!! So, old case with ETA7753, better dial, single AR, T48 crown........?
siesta181
You got it right Prof... ETA 7753, Lello DW, thicker bezel with "tachymeter", T48 crown, Vaclumed and double AR (not accurate but double AR is freaking awesome).
professor_yaffle1
Ah, yes, hadn't spotted the datewheel, but I did wonder about the AR.........and you're absolutley right to go with double, even if it's not correct, it just brings that dial out so much BTW - I have the incorrect bezel (but correct case), any suggestions for sourcing the correct bezel, or do I have to buy a complete watch from trusty just for the bezel? siesta181
Thanks guys. @Prof - I don't think you gonna have much choice with regards to the bezel, mate. You need to make sure its the thick bezel with the correct spelling. I am not too sure that the curent stock of 250 cases are thick. scotty
Ahhhhh....a wonderful piece. I had a similar one and parts for a build: swiss 7753 250 + lello datewheel + spare case set for bezel switch (for correct spelling)..... I hope Jakub K2222 is enjoying my property.....coz that's where it all went and that's where it all may still be..........B*****D
siesta181
Man...that totally blows. Feel for you bro.... I sunk quite deep into my pocket to complete this project so I know how much the Jakub debacle set you back. Didn't know you lost so much to the the bugger.... siesta181
Flat enough? I just can't seem to push the pin down any further without scratching the polish.... cheers siesta181
ballinonabudget
did you raise your DW? where can i get a lello DW? Also if its not suppose to be double AR is it single or non? I just ordered a 250 from Vac, and waiting it to get here, it has a 7750 movement and the DW is recessed, I really want to fix this, the thought of it really bothers me. Its my first rep, so I'm still learning Thanks Edited July 2, 2009 by ballinonabudget

siesta181
Thanks mate @bali - I swap in an ETA 7753 so DW was not raised. Lello datewheels are kinda rare so good luck finding one. Gen has single AR but I had mine doubled ARed. Inaccurate? Yes, but a good double AR rocks. Anyhow, down the line, you can always remove the external AR if that's what you want.
