  1. Nice mesh, gran! And that's a pair of gorgeous Dwellers, but I'm going to give the edge (ho-ho) to woof*'s 1665. Hamilton for Saturday

  2. I would go with either a 5513 or a 1680 (depending on whether she wants a date or not)...just remember to buy the seller and to buy quality. While a relumed dial or aftermarket crown is fine on a rep, when it comes to vintage rolex, you want all original...no aftermarket and as little service parts (at least ones that you can see...dial, hands, insert, crown, etc.) as possible. I will also throw in a 1675 into the ring for consideration because with the ability to have a Pepsi and all black bezel, you have almost two watches to choose from (plus, the 1675 are a thinner watch than the subs)..... Good luck, just remember to buy the seller.. There is nothing wrong with buying/wearing a rep, but you don't want to get a rep when you think you are buying gen!! Tom

  3. That dial is the best 5508 dial I have seen out of a watch in 10 years. I would buy it for near what it sold for. What some are missing is that, a typical 5508 may be worth $8k (I sold one with a refinished dial for that a few months ago) but a 5508 with that dial, perfect bezel and crisp case could be worth $20k. That dial will end up in a nice 5508 with a tired dial. It will double the value of the watch it ends up in. Here's another point: the aftermarket dials are so far off....and are made with the cheapest materials. The good ones that are made exactly like the original vintage gilt, lacquered dials cost around $1,200 (Swiss Dial Co in the UK).

  7. I don't mind helping but am not an expert If you see a model you like that is made by both we should be able to help My main point is any of the new models by either h or noob factory is light years ahead of any kind of mistake or poor quality rep 390 I love but is only made by h factory 127/217 are only noob models and the quality is top notch 111 is made by both Noob is better but back ordered right now so only h is available for a couple of weeks at least 111n from noob many think is the best otb pam 005 I think latest word is h is better than noob 243 I am not sure which is better but it is made by both Noob is likewise back ordered right now 288 088 Both above great reps only made by h factory 029 another great rep, only made by noob factory 380 a great brand new rep only made by h factory currently Any of the Asian 7753 movement watches are excellent too and new I believe only noob has access to the 7753 movement so there is no new h factory version of these watches 188, 187 are 2 examples but I think there are a couple more As long as it is a year or less old, and from either noob or h factory it will be an excellent rep Biggest mistake you can make is buying a watch you don't love the look of but are buying because it is more accurate The above mentioned models are all excellent, look up the pictures of these and go with the 1 or 2 you like best Any TD should be able to get the above mentioned watches
