  1. Okay that's enough. Zeleni, you're done for a week. Come back when you've calmed down. Akira apologized and I told you to drop it. This crap ends now.

  2. Guys, We all know that a lot of what DW was offering wasn't up to scratch but the case set and dial i despatched were fine. The crown was attatched to the tube. I was very clear about what i would consider doing in terms of upgrades to Gen tube and crown etc if this guy wanted to improve upon the watch he was building. I'm really not interested in getting into a big slanging match on here so I tell you what I'm going to do, if the guy wants his $200.00 back then no big deal my end. Have the case set and dial on me DH

  3. Hi all IWC experts. Even though I've done some searches (before I get flamed) I'm still not clear on the differecnes between the V1, V2 and V3 in the A7750 version. I refer to the single crono (not the dopple) - 44mm ceramic case. I had thought the V2 was a slight evolution of the V1. However I've read that the V2 has the crown in the wrong position. For the V3 I'm not at all clear on what the difference are. Can anyone summarise? Again I've had a quick search but didn't manage to really clarify at all!! BTW - I'm waiting to receive my V2 from Trusty, and I had understood was the best version at this time!

  4. So, here we have a great rep, with OPEN caseback, and movement that does not have ANY resemblance to the gen piece ... and some people are bothered by engraving on CB ? Really ? Yes, it's a flaw, but next to having plain 2824 instead of gorgeous 8500 it kind of becomes insignificant. I know in this hobby certain (high) level of OCD is welcomed, but c'mon ... regards

  6. I once saw this watch with the correct logo, not sure if it was applied or printed. About the date font, I went a bit ahead of myself. Its acrually not that bad. Its the cal16 date only that has a horrible date wheel.

  7. Just received mine and I'm more than happy. Looks great and can't see any obvious flaws. Spacing between the officially and certified looks fine, pearl is excellent and the rehaut engraving is lined up perfectly.

  8. Holy fawk, now I realise that the bezel markings don't line up with the dial. So either the markings are wrong or the dial is not printed correctly. And from a brief examination, it's the bezel that is etched wrongly.... wtf. So it seems like I got sent defective/ rejected parts. The last communication I had with the seller was the typical "only you have this problem" and "no one else has ever complained". Why do I not name him, and why am I protecting the seller? I don't know, I'm starting to feel that I should so he does not scam others on this forum.

  13. I've been to all the centers in the GZ watch district and there isnt much to find other than your average canal street stuff. They have cleaned up alot as the local govt is starting to regulate the industry. I would recommend emailing/contacting a dealer beforehand, otherwise you wont find anything unless you speak Mandarin. As for the watch district, there are 4-5 main centers. They are all structured like a indoor swapmeet but each individual booth is an "Independent Watch Broker". This is the main intersection. If you head left, it'll lead you to the subway (1/4 mile) and the EMS center (the one that all the GZ dealers use LOL). The building behind me to the right (which isn't in the picture) is where I found most of my tools (up the stairs, immediate right, end of row) I think I still have my receipt if you need the booth #. They sell rep Bergeon tools and are pretty inexpensive. I walked out with pretty much everything I needed for less than $20usd. Just to the right of the picture is a pretty decent sized center to find more crap. On the upper left corner where you see the big clock on the building is another center. I think it's about 4-5 stories...I didnt venture up all of it because of all the cigarette smoke throughout the levels...and smoking is legal everywhere. There is also a side street there (the no right turn sign). That's a whole other street with more crap..... More crap with lots of crap. This is the famous center that an old school member had posted in his review. Another view of the street: Inside the centers: Outside another watch center along the main street: If you are looking for accessories, you will find everything possible on the main st (first picture). Just walk another 1/4 down and that's where all the rep glasses, purses, jeans, shirt, underwear, hats, shoes!!, etc are. I spent 2 days in the district and didnt even get to see everything. I hope this gives you a 3D/live view of the intersection. Have fun!! cc
