  6. Good idea. There is also few other books from Guido Mondani. I know this is Rolex section but "Panerai Watches from 1936 to 1997. Panerai in Florence – 150 years of history" seems quite interesting. http://www.mondanionline.com/panerai_watches_from_1936_to_1997__panerai_in_florence_%EF%BF%BD%EF%BF%BD__150_years_of_history-2.php

  9. Hi All It's been quite a while since I was last here. Just a few words to say hello and I am glad I have returned. It looks like the factories have been improving things, especially the Pam's. As this is the Rolex area, here is a picture is of my anniversary LV (Taken today) which I have had for nearly 8 years. The watch has and still is serving me well, it's in pristine condition and keeps almost perfect time. It's been so long I have forgotten the full details, I remember it has a Swiss movement with 28,800bph. I guess It's time for a change. Best to you all Simon.

  10. Hi Danielv2000 I like to look after my watches so I am careful when wearing. It was a daily for many years, now it gets odd evenings and weekends.

  11. Just for the record I was a dealer on TRC and a founding moderator of this board. When the decision was made to make TRC a read only forum, which made it neccessary to move my business here, I offered to stand down as a moderator but the team vetoed that on the grounds they felt I could conduct myself fairly and in an unbiased way. If anyone believes that is not the case I will be glad to hear why the think so. Ken

  14. Simple! Less wear and tear due to better finished parts on the ETA, probably better oiled from the start and stronger main spring. Or simple luck.....There are also A7750s sec @6 out there that run for years. The second @6 module is as crap on the ETA as it is on the Asian. Same modification.

  15. Yep life is found in the great outdoors. I don't want to look back some day and wish I'd found more of it. I figure if I fall asleep each night utterly exhausted with a new memory, then I've traded that day for something worthwhile. Seize The Day.

  17. No real big updates, a few more prototype photos, very rough estimates on eta for start of CNY, so expect it next August They are going to try to replicate the leather strap and deployant as well as the bracelet option. And a few Gen pics to whet the appetite:
