Back in 1875 the condiment mayonaiise was introduced to the Country of Mexico. The food and sandwich enhancer became a beloved staple for the Mexican people. The Hellmans Mayonaiise Co. Of England regularly sent their product to the vastly growing demand to our southern neighbor. In 1912, the largest order of Hellmans Mayonaiise Was slated to be shipped , and the People of Mexico were excitedly anticipating the arrival of their favorite condiment The huge shipment left Southampton, England in early April, 1912, aboard the ill fated Titanic. and was lost along with 2000 people and 4000 cases of sardines. Mexicans mourned the loss deeply of the Hellmans, and Procaimed the date of the loss as a national day of remembrance . The holiday has been named for the past 100 years, " Sinko De Mayo"..1 point

So this is a little over due yes? Unfortunately we had to do a complete rebuild as well as swapping hosts so time was lost there but far more time has been lost because I greatly under estimated the time taken to upload the goods to the site. At last count there was over 1500 items listed and we are by no means even close to everything we want to load. But here it is, a new name, a new direction, same happy people Interested parties, return customers and friends I give you.... Replica Plaza......... http://replicaplaza.net/ Come in, take a look and please let me know what you think...oh and buying is good too Ken1 point

Service - You can get it serviced but a lot of people just wait until a service is needed. You can check timekeeping yourself by setting the time according to timeanddate.com (or similar site) and then checking it the next day to see how much you've gained or lost. Less than +/-20s for most asian clone movements. Then you can wear the watch for a whole day and then let it die to check the power reserve. A fulls day wear will most likely completely wind your mainspring. Most asian clones will have a PR >30 hours after a full days of active wear. If you want to send it to a watchsmith then there are good ones in both US and Europe who are rep friendly. Depending on where you live you can look them up here and on other fora. I also have a local person who works on reps, so that's an option if you find someone in your town/city. The average price for servicing a 3 hand asian movement shouldn't be more than 100-150 USD. Speedy G is who I use and is closer to the 100 mark. Date changing - Since your watch is a 3 hand non chronograph movement you can change the date whenever you want. It's only with 7750 movements where you have to worry about this issue. Search the forums there's a lot on it (you can google as well and find a ton of info on changing date of 7750). Magnets - generally yes. If your watch comes in contact with a magnet and brushes up against it repeatedly or is in a strong magnetic field for a long time then parts of the watch can magnetize and throw off time keeping. Watch companies shield their watches and the rep makers claim they do, but i'd generally keep all my watches away from strong magnetic fields. Power reserve - As per the service section you will get something like 30-50 hours power reserve out of your asian movement. Straps - everyone will have his or her advice/favorites. Check out peterwatchacc (you can find him on timezone or wus) as well as thewatchboys.com ... Peter is a bit more expensive but many say they're better than TWBs offerings. Good luck with the watch, post some photos man!1 point

Quite funny, as I've just recently thought about the car manufacturer - watch brand analogy in order to explain watches to someone not too much into watches. Here's what I came up with. Rolex - Mercedes (I guess that's something we all can easily agree on) Omega - BMW Breitling - Opel Zenith, IWC - Audi JLC - Porsche AP - Ferrari (too many classy watches for Lamborghini imo) VC - Bentley (think Continental GT) Patek - Rolls Royce Lange - Maybach I think that's pretty accurate, Breitling maybe a little bit too harsh...1 point

If anyone has yet to see "the raid redemption", please rectify that NOW! It's an indonesian film, but harbour no bias, it's really fn good. It's how ACTION movies should be! I think it was helmed by a swedish director no less. No, i don't speak indonesian either. But you can download one with english subs easily enough i reckon.1 point

Some example QC pics up on the site. Pearl a bit of a mishap on this one, and the logos crooked, probably not the best example showing it off .. but interesting watch all the same. Surprisingly the logos/lettering and raised looking dw look like how they should have been on the 42mm CPO. I'm sure we'll see more pics soon enough.1 point
