  6. As others have said, it is a tough call &, ultimately, you have to choose from a set of less than optimal options. Technically, the safest method is Registered Mail with the package insured for the actual value of the contents (that is what Rolex recommends to customers shipping watches to them for service). However, in reality, it is probably best to have the watch in the possession of the shipper for the least amount of time & to draw as little attention to the package as possible. So overnight shipping with a low value/insurance will tend to draw less attention from thieves. Of course, if the package is lost or stopped by customs, you could have problems. My rule of thumb is that unless the person you are shipping to requests otherwise, I generally ship gens via Registered Mail/full value & non-gens overnight with $25 value/insurance. Life is a gamble & sometimes, you just have to roll the dice.

  7. Thought I would post some quick snaps of these two. The Datejust specs: (gen)ETA 2892A2. gen Rolex 16233 DateJust case set E serial (1991) gen Rolex 295c crystal + gasket gen Rolex DateJust silver sticks dial (markers are white gold) gen Rolex tudor hands gen Rolex engine turned bezel gen Rolex SS crown gen Rolex datewheel gen Rolex clasp Nearly everything visible to the naked eye is gen. Even the springbars are gen, though you can't see them. Weight is within 2 grams of a 3135-equipped DJ. The sub took like 6 months to get to my door. It got lost in the mail. Supercool member Coolchu001 waited patiently with me while everything got resolved. He also shot the first two pictures, which made me want the sub in the first place. TC 16610 LN Gen Insert TC 'Combi' bracelet V3 with V2 clasp Clark crystal Thanks for your time!

  8. Third party insurer. That's what jewelry pros do. Package goes anonymous, but you and insurer know what's up. Zero advertising on package for scum to peruse. There are several that do this, but some want you to prove you are a pro, too.

  11. It's poor form to start this discussion in another individual's thread about their watch. If you're unfamiliar with the internet and forums my recommendation for you is to create your own thread to discuss your completely separate topic. Cheers and welcome. In addition this is a tired and beat up discussion that you can easily find opinions on WUS and other places. Just leave it as "different strokes for different folks." BTW, absolutely NOTHING about this build is "buying a rep." What you see here in the desire to create something identical to the original in almost every way possible.

  12. Well it's a matter of combination - which toys You like, how many You can have and which quality You can afford. That's were all the forum members come from - choosing the suitable combination for them. As for radiomirs - yes 380 has very good reviews. 292, 288 also are good. Now these year 388, 505 and 183 came. Believe me, every person here has different understandin of "which is best" and I think final desicion will have to made up by You. Just get the one You prefer most. Wear it, if You won't like it - sell it with the loss of 20-80usd, get another one, try it again. That's were the beauty of replica market comes - You can experiment while reaching for the main goal - Your personal satisfaction of wearing a timepiece

  19. That's a tough one. I would do lots of research before it gets shipped. Problem with the shipping companies, they are really vague about what they will insure when it comes to high dollar items. I would surely use the premium service if available, such as FedEx overnight, or UPS overnight. It's going to cost a bunch, but if you lose that watch, someone is going to be out a pile of money!! Before shipping make sure you and the seller are on the same page with everything. Have him take several photos of the watch, the watch in the packing box, and then after the box is sealed and ready to ship. Photos with the address label, and customs declaration form, to establish that is the same box. I would declare it for it's full value and have it insured for that amount, as in most cases, you can only buy insurance up to the amount of the declared value. The seller needs to treat this as a genuine watch, not a 200 USD rep. He really should find out which of the shipping companies will ship high value items with full insurance. Some will tell you, "Sure we will insure it for up to 25K, but if it gets lost, they show you that minute print clause that says watches and jewelry are only insurable up to 500 USD. I know that watch and jewelry dealers have special companies that write insurance for high value items. Things get shipped all the time, every watch, diamond ring, bracelet, etc. has to be shipped, probably multiple times, from the manufacturer to the selling dealer. Someone is insuring that stuff every step of the way, you just need to find out who and if it's available to individuals.

  25. Why is it that everyone except JoeyB is trying to not argue? Why is JoeyB talking over all the legitimate participants in this thread? You can't drown out the truth, JoeyB. You can try, but you're only showing everyone here who you are. Everyone is watching this .. haven't you damaged your reputation enough, yet?
