  1. Hi guys, Finally it’s ready...... My “NOS look and feel” mid 70’s 5514 COMEX with 5513 dial (reference: http://doubleredseadweller.com/watch-info/comex/comex-5514.html) A list of the parts used: HH 5514 case-set Rolex T-19 service plexi Rolex 5513 service insert w/ custom pearl Rolex 702 crown Athaya 7020 tube (a gen 7020 tube wouldn’t fit the case, athaya’s tube fitted perfectly!) Rolex 1520 movement Rolex 93150 bracelet w Rolex 580 endlinks Rolex 5513 feet first tritium dial Rolex 1665 tritium hands The modds were mild on this one; I slightly grinded/sanded down the crownguards because I wanted to have them just a bit smaller so they would match nicely with the 702 crown. I also drilled out the innerpart of the case were the tube goes in just a bit so the tube would fit nice and snug to the case. The insert was aged and bleached mildly; just enough so it would match the dial perfectly J The pearl was custom made out of acrylics and it matches the ivory of the tritium dial and hands J I will make additional pictures in the next few days but just to give you an impression: Thanks for watching

  3. The thing I love about this Noob v2 is it's impeccable fit and finish. This is the first (rep) watch I've ever owned that felt as if it came from a workshop with first rate QC. The dial is impeccable, everything aligned properly, CG lever has correct resistance and closes with a positive snap, even the lug bars are buttery smooth with all threads measured so each bar is appropriately sunken in at the same depth. I'm starting to understand why Marlin will only mod Noob watches...

  7. Here is my personal experience with iParadisiac.co. I bought a watch from them. They were good about delivering it on time and kept me informed during the entire process. Where they fell short, when I opened the box and saw the watch. It has a missing 12 O'clock tick mark, it had actually come loose during the shipment. I contact them immediately, sent them a photo. Their response was, I would need to pay to have it shipped back so they could replace it. I thought maybe a jewler could fix it for $50 or so, so I asked if this would be an option. They replied they would be willing to give me a $30 credit on the next watch I bought from them. Considering it was a $265 watch... I'm a bit [censored] at them. Their customer service sucks... any company from China would suck. You get what you pay for.
