Here he is making another dial.

Working on another 1016 build. Since Whoopy decided to do another run of dials I was able to source a better dial for this project. Bought one of JMB's new CNC milled cases. Much easier than the last go with the first case set. About 6 hours difference in labor time. I was able to get the profile of the genuine case on the first case but all that work and removal of metal made it difficult to keep the edges. This go around I was very careful to not loose the edges. Case from JMB shape wise is excellent, but needed some finishing work. This is a small ding right on the edge from the CNC work. This is on 2 of the lugs and I did my best to remove it while still holding the edge. In the end I want the edge crisp more than I care about the little mark. It is supposed to be a 50 year old watch.....The movement stopped in my current 1016 so this is a good time to work on this project. In the end I will have 2 complete watches, will keep one and sell one. This one will go back to JMB for proper engravings. Thanks JMB for all the hard work on these. All I need now is the dial from Whoopy, a lume job on the dial and TC hands and assembly. Probably a few months out but here are some pics of the cases. Uploading pics from my phone in a second. Thanks! Its been a lot of ups and downs. My hope when I started was documenting this may help others that want to build their own franken in the future. For me, it was bothering misiekped, Ephry, and others, while finding bits and pieces of info here and on other boards. In the process, I feel I found my home here. Far more helpful and simply awesome people willing to help here. There also seems to be some of the most knowledgeable people I've found in the hobby posting here.

Our clown and company administration claims we are at grave risk from 'global warming' and isis. Ha, Ha. Half the nation is frozen solid and isis is thousands of miles away (except for all the wannabes living in the USA and other nations). Meanwhile no one seems to notice the real dangers. short term = the chief clown residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave along with his like minded assorted cohorts and minor clowns long term = unbridled immigration and not keeping close watch on places like 'Dearbornistan' Michigan and other budding mini 'ghetto countries' within the USA. The majority living in the USA did not vote the chief clown in. The majority of active voters did. While the silent majority sat on its ass as usual. We made it through jimmah carter so maybe we can make it through this goofball...but carter only had four years.

You ain't been around that long mate I am in the minority here , guys who went went for the empty suit in the White House pretty quiet these days though.

Yup. Takes a big commitment. But for me, oh so worth it.
