  1. Hi guys, Sorry I have not spending any time here lately. My health is holding well at the moment. I am spending a lot of time getting properties I own sold so my kids do not have to handle the business end. I owned and managed my properties for over 30 years. I finally turned everything over to a management company due to my health. As far the the pens go.... I only made about 10 pcs. with Genuine Rolex Dials. Panerai153 sent me some dials so I gifted him a few pens. These pens are of the highest quality. The cost to make this pen with my labor is over $425. It takes about 25 hours of labor for each pen. I will NOT be making any more due to costs to high, too time consuming to make. If anyone is interested, please get with me. I actually was planning on not putting them up for sale because in 10 years I honestly think they will be worth $2500 usd. Nice checking in again..... Happy 2015 for all of us.. mikellem I do believe one day these will be very rare due the my dials are genuine.

  2. Then after years go to Gen forum to find the "is this a rep section" and test your skill with the gen boys at picking them out. Crap I did and was a 100% on Breitlings of all things not my area at all , in truth they have crappy ones for the most part some of our stuff they would buy up in a heart beat. They are lucky we are so anal about not selling reps as gen.

  3. I'm going to be supportive as you are a VIP member and have contributed to this forum. Right now, there is one maker that stands out from the rest. That is TC Submariner. There is a section in the reputable dealer area that has this contact details. TC Sub: The pros: It is genuine specification so genuine rolex submariner parts will fit (i.e., the external parts like insert, crown, crystal) It is pretty much plug and play and it is the best submariner out of the box at the moment TC puts the watch together for you personally so QC is there also The cons: Expensive - at around $550 plus shipping, it isn't a cheap replica but the quality and the fact that is so close to the genuine piece makes it special TC can be slow at responding. He is inundated with orders so can be slower in turnaround replies and the purchase to receiving can take up to 5-6 weeks as he needs to put it together for you The MBW (or variants of it): More or less a prequel to the TC. It also accept genuine parts (the original man behind this was BK - believe he still has a section in the sellers area) but believe he doesn't sell anymore. However, you can find these from members selling them from time to time. Generally cheaper than the TC but may be around the same price given most members have upgraded it with gen parts at some stage. The noobmariner: One of the old school versions that can still be found from time to time from member selling them. They were cheap (around $120 a pop), doesn't accept genuine parts but for what it was worth, still great quality and a great daily beater. The serial starts with a "F" The TW version: Recently got my hands on one of these. Similar to noobmariner but from different maker. Doesn't really accept genuine parts but a decent daily beater too. Serial starts with "D" After these above 4, there are still dealers selling the 16610 classic but many have flaws. Personally, I have seen the Trusty Watch version in the flesh and its not great. Aside from the decent pearl, the wok effect is strong and the doesn't accept genuine parts. I havent bought others but would avoid the cheaper dealers as their stocks are not great either. Hope this helps.

  4. Mike, sorry to confess, but most of those noob questions were from me!!!!! But I do at least say "thank you kind sir and have a wonderful week" Seriously though, I got one a couple of days ago, wanting to know the most gen like of the AP ROO's. Then asked if the 44 mm FC was the best. Why in the world would he ask me? A little over a year ago, I couldn't spell AP much less know anything about them. All these guys have to do is visit the AP forums on RWG,RG and RWI and use the damn search function, and they would get all the info they need. But hopefully relief is on the horizon. As soon as you appoint Legend to the official position of QC photo advisor and question answerer, our problems will be solved. Please create a link directly to his PM box so that the poor little noobs won't have to search for anything. Thank you in advance Legend for rescuing all of us from this thankless task, we have thrown off the shackles and are free at last!!!- Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  5. Well some how I missed this one, don't venture into my PM box guys it's most likely the reason I missed this thread aside from noobs evil must be kept at bay. "YOU! One of the poison posse, who keeps telling me "Bro you need to get this and that Rolex, go read up on the history, once you go down the Rolex road you'll never turn back." :D" Guilty as charged the original posse member been trying for years. Together we must bring brother Legend into the understated light of the vintage Rolex from which few return and then again why would you.
