  3. Hey gang, Long time since I’ve been on the forum; hope all is well with everyone and things are good. Wanted to share this little story of luck, as there is some watch relevance involved and who better to share with than my pals here? Picked up this little porcelain figure at a recent estate sale for my daughter; it’s a little piggy bank painted like a dog. She saw it and immediately thought of our own little doggy, a 12lb Yorkie that coincidentally thinks she’s a pig We paid a small price for the little piggy and got it home where I started prepping it to put in my daughter’s room for piggy bank use. It was packed/stuffed with tissue paper and when I removed all the tissue, this fell out: > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Ha… Only kidding. I *wish* I were that lucky! No, no… Rather, this is just my latest build that I’ve been working on; a 1940’s era steel PPCo As with most of my builds, this one started with a genuine dial with original hard enamel fonts/printings still in tact and in great shape considering (remember, these watches from this time period were not water or element resistant; considering it’s 70-ish years old or so, it’s got some aging, but all very subtle in the overall picture) I managed to pick this dial up for stupid cheap… Less than $100: And shortly thereafter I happened upon the correct 12’’’120 movement to go with it: From there I had the dimensions of the movement measured and a custom case fabricated. Got the case back the other day and got everything together… To finish off, I added a gen Patek gator strap with period correct gen Patek buckle. Has the appearance and feel of being a much larger watch than it's 36mm size might otherwise suggest: Okay, so while I wasn’t lucky enough to happen upon this gem in such a fortunate manner, I do feel fortunate to have managed to see this one through to where it is now Thanks for looking! //ubi

  4. The case can well be a heavily mod'ed 114060 case. The rehaut engraving is a possible tell. I am one of humble beginnings, even if I could just drop 25k on a watch, I would much rather spend Less than 1k and build something to my unique taste and save the rest. This is just me of course. The combination of parts and overall design are great, but not unique. E

  7. At this time I have unlocked this thread as I have not heard from Malik A King in two weeks nor has he been on. It was hoped this could be resolved without drama but it takes two parties. As to particulars the facts that are not in dispute are Schildkind sent watch to him as per there trade agreement Malik sent a box with no tape or glued seal weighting 83grams per post on intake and delivery (I will further quantify that by saying no way the watch in question or just about any watch weight that little). The guys at Dutch forum contacted me and he was trying to do some trades there but he is on hold if not banned there. I will mark him no deals till I get the ban through. Guys on trades it is dicey thing I really would not go there unless I knew the guy or had a good reputation on another board, low post count no feedback do not do it.

  8. No choice now but to trim the end pieces. Take a dremel and cut the end piece. Take a black marker and just barely run across the edge. It will leave a thin blk line on the end link. Start by cutting that off. Then ck and do it again if you need to. Then bend the end pieces down to fit flush with the case and lugs.

  10. That is the perfect base watch. In the Tempus Machina specifications list, they flat out say they use the 114060 as their base for this, and then they machine the sh#t out of the case to make it thinner, remove the crown guards, add chamfering, lugholes, and alter the profile shape.

  17. Guys as some of you may have noticed I locked this and that is very unusual for me to do I believe in freedom above all else. But trust me best for both parties involved to not get into rush judgements , when this is resolved I will give you all the low down, just be patient.
