  2. Sweet! what part of Alaska? Hope you're not in Seward, Dillingham or Kotz.... what a zoo! Fearless Leader is hiking to Exit glacier today to showcase the ravages of global warming, and filming an episode of the Bear Gyllis "survival" show along the trail. I suspect both will be equally believable as pertains to reality.

  9. You got it cc, it's great underwater! Very readable with the Orange. It also passed a 10-bar pressure test. The crystal is from Dagaz, and the mesh came from the upper hillsides of the Kobuk mountains where the air is cold and the villagers are quirky.

  11. All mechanical watches (devices) need regular cleaning & lubing, so you are not alone. Many watchmakers are willing to work on reps as long as they are not so cheap &/or constructed so poorly that the simple act of decasing may cause problems in & of itself (I would not work on those reps either). It might be helpful to google watchmakers in your area to see if you can find a more rep-friendly watchmaker, or even a backup option in case yours declines to fix a watch. The only other option is to learn the craft yourself, which, long term, is, I believe, the best option (if you want something done right, do it yourself). However, it takes many years of experience/practice, not to mention the investment in equipment & time, so it will not help you in the short term.

  12. What have you done so far mate? Generally if I need parts for something slightly off the norm.. I go to the smaller dealers and ask them to source either the part, the bracelet or the cheapest version if all else fails.. you see they can or will go to the markets rather than the makers or will find them from wholesalers as well as asking the makers if they have any spares laying about.. But sometimes you can find that you can fix it with what you have or utilise other parts from other watches/sources that will do the job Is it links you need? or pins/screws? do you have all the parts of the links if so or parts of the pins etc post some pics mate.. but if you want the easiest route try a dealer like Ken, Pyschospike or Sead Supermirrors or Mary Kingwatch or matey at Watchesinternational or Sillix etc...
