  1. This is also 1 of the reasons it is recommended that mechanical movements be overhauled every 5-7 years. Keeping those wear parts clean & well-oiled will extend their usable lifespan. 1 of the parts that had to be replaced when I built my Phase 2 6542 was that rotor, due to bearing wear. Fortunately, after a great deal of effort, I was able to locate a NOS part & I overhauled the movement last year & found the bearing in fine fettle.

  3. Your opinion is greatly appreciated mate. I know it's a bit pristine but I'm not very handy in aging parts. Tried to age hands with salt & vinegar without success. If someone have good tip to age hands I take it ! [emoji632]

  4. It looks very good now, but personally I think the second hand is too brilliant white. I just looked online at gens and of course over the decades there has been a mellowing of the paint. They are mostly still very white, but seem not so stark white. IMO it is a very small detail that would give it a huge boost forward.
