I've had this for many many years, and surprisingly it keeps excellent time. Nicely sized, too, at 43mm diameter. Semi-pocketwatch case is interesting, the back pops off and reveals a hinged caseback covering up a lovely 15j mov't! If only watches could talk... This one has many stories I bet.

Please don't make it sound any worse brother. Please. Lol I tread softly along the fine line separating raving insanity and lucid moments of ingenuity. The issue is I've no idea which is which mostly.

Looks and sounds remarkably like the crew lounge here. I'd post a pic, but the sight of Nikki6 and Legend sat around in their undies may put you off your beer for life.

Added 2-14-17 Fitting bezels on 5512/13/1680 etc: 1...If you plan to do much crystal fitting, you will need a precision digital caliper, not a $12.99 cheapo, a good one...if you do not have one already. 2...Measure the OD of the crystal after it is pushed down on the case neck...write it down. Measuring a loose crystal is usually not going to give an accurate measurement. 3...Measure the ID of the inner (crystal retaining) bezel...write it down. 4...The inner crystal retaining bezel needs to be around .1mm to .2 mm smaller than the crystal (measured on the watch). 5...Use a heavy duty bezel press with metal dies if possible, plastic dies are usually too flimsy. You will soon develop a 'feel' for proper fit. Mine is an old Japan made 'BB' press from way back and now reproductions are available at 'affordable' prices. Here are BB styles with tapered and straight wall dies and you can find these presses at reasonable prices if you look around. BB type bases are made out of cast iron. The general rule is cheapo tools = broken parts....but not always. Imho... Genuine crystals are over rated, especially on project watches. I have used GS crystals for 40 years and never had any problems and their crystals for vintage no date submariners come in 4 or 5 sizes. Sternkreuz are Ok too but sometimes not a precision fit. Like I said many times before...when you find a crystal that fits...buy 3 of them. Many no name 'internet' crystals are out of spec, sometimes from one batch to the next. Many no name internet bezel kits are not too hot either. The better sets come from Clark, watchman408 (on eBay) and ST in my experience. Better = they fit.

Hmm so if my day couldn't get any worse.. first thing this morning my 911 decides to shit a fuel pump relay in the car elevator of my building at 8am lol not much room in there to get a push on that fat pig of a car.. so I saw red for the first part of my day.. then took my GMT franken out of my box to wear again a bit before I leave and I start winding it up as it sat and then it got really easy... hmm odd is it stripped ? No way it was just built lol.. haul the back cover off and pop out the stem and it had sheared off just inside the movement.. lovely lol anyone know now if this will need a tear down or if th bridge above the stem will allow me access to get it out... my other option was to put a strong adhesive on the stem and put it back and let it set then hope it comes out lol i think with this case the stem is actually a little off causing a side load and weakening the stem over time.... or the meatball at one of the watch shops here in Toronto sold me gen stems for Chinese pieces. Ugh not a good day all around.. any quick ideas fellas, something to cheer me up lol cheers ! C

One problem I had several years ago when I first used WU, was they had a cash limit. Could only send 500.00 USD per month. I believe this was to slow down some of the problems WU was having with both online gambling and money laundering. I was sending money to my wife in Europe when she went home for summer vacation. After a couple of months as I recall, they increased the limit to something like 5k. As others have said, make sure you have the name and country right, they won't release money to someone with a different name than what is on the WU money transfer. Personally I prefer online WU but I believe the online site can vary from country to country. When customers pay me by WU they need to supply my name, country and state I live in, other than that they only need to highlight that the cash will be collected in person. Ken

beaten to death topic. I agree with Ubiquitous, Reps to me ARE more interesting, with the options open to mod and do stuff to them that you would never dream of doing to a gen. Before you judge me to be another cheapo rep collector, a very brief background My gens: I own 6 AP ROOs, an IWC, 2 Hublots and 1 rolex, and a nice Rotary watch from one of my buddies here My Reps: Currently 4 Hublots, 2 ROOs, 2 rolex, 2 Franck Mullers, 3x Cartiers I own reps because I find some of the models close enough to gen, and its a matter of economy for me. Some reps I bought to try on for fun. I wear reps for travel as well, and there are very interesting looking reps which the gen are no longer available. I also love the process of modding a rep to be a better watch, something I cannot see myself doing with a gen. So you see, the reasons are many. I like each watch I own, gen or rep. The watches do not judge themselves, its only we and our fellows that judge them. I have said it many times: You wear ANY watch for yourself, because you like it. As for what your neighbor thinks of your watch, it should not be a concern, nor should it really be his business. If I see a Hublot on a wrist of a man in a mall, I would not bother spending more than 2 sec wondering if it was a gen. That is his business. But if that man is dressed in a torn T shirt, shorts that needed patching 2 years back and flip-flops with no soles, yeah, I would be thinking that the watch is either a stolen one or a rep. If you want to wear a nice watch, gen or rep, just make sure you look like a man with a nice watch, and not a mismatched work of art. If you would not think of wearing pink shorts and wellingtons with a tuxedo, apply the same sense when wearing a nice watch, and 99% of the time, you would do alright.
