  3. The only thing I was interested to see was the Blancpain FF homage to the original Mil-Spec. 40mm which is a nice size for those of us that are on the smaller side. Also it has the moisture indicator disc on the dial like the old original Mil-Spec's. Hopefully this one will get repped, as it's size should make it pretty popular. The Tudor chronos looked OK, but the snowflake hands just don't fit the watch. What I don't understand is Tudor putting those hands on every release. It's strange, because the snowflake hands only appeared on a few models, and for a relatively short time.. Lots of really weird watches that are priced at a gazillion dollars each, but most don't look like they are actually wearable except for a couple of hours for photo shoots. 6. I don't like the Tudor chrono either, apart from the pushers are so nice! Like old mk1's . Don't know why I like the bb two tone, it's facepalmish but I like it . i love the reissue omegas and I feel the can do this, as they show promise in all other aspects of their range, unlike panerai. seadweller is average tbh everyone is crying about the cyclops, but for me it's just as bad as the shitty hand proportions, rough as... love the haribomaster wish they would have made slightly bigger sub dials in the autavia but it's really very nice and an easy winner .

  9. where the case was made. there are a couple of case makers from vn. MQ, search "vintage watches mq" and phong of jewelry and watch. phong being most used and commonly referred to as a "vietnam case", and probably your best bet for highest end reproduction case. cost $1,200 USD and up

  10. Oh man. Love it. Forgot what being 21 was like. What exactly are you trying to fake here? The luxury lifestyle or confidence? If the goal is trying to fake the luxury lifestyle...I'm afraid the watch isn't going to be enough...I size people up by things that can't be sourced from Chinese websites and assure you most others do as well...for instance...I don't look at just the style of clothing someone wears...but how it's cared for and worn. Is the person wearing the standard no brainer Rolex sub, or do they know watches enough and shop at the places that will help them pick a model that isnt rep'd by every Chinese factory? Are their clothes properly tailored? Pressed? Are the soles of their shoes clean and fresh? How bout laces? Are they worn? When going out .... does the style and brand of bank card one pays with match the "lifestyle" they rep? Does the person know the things that one should certainly know if living "the life"? It's so transparent when someone tries to fake the "luxury" lifestyle...because luxury isn't about what someone wears...it's about the confidence that someone shows when they don't need to prove anything to anyone. See...the last poster was trying to re-assure you that's it's OK to have the lifestyle of a recent college grad/intern. And in being OK with it...and perhaps having on a Tudor or Seiko...which is a perfectly respectable watch for anyone who's either made it, or on their way to "making it"...it shows that you have the confidence and know things you "should" know in order TO make it. Maybe you should perform a test...fake being confident until you are. Buy a quartz Nixon for $35 at an outlet...wear it into your new job and every time someone notices...which will be about 200x more than they would notice a Rolex...tell them you hate it, but can't yet afford a Rolex. Tell them you plan to work hard...that you plan to save up...despite your penchant for loving the "luxury lifestyle"...and that one day, when you've "made it"...you plan to put the Nixon in a watch box and save it for your kids to see...so that you can tell them how once upon a time you actually thought it was important what watch a person wore. Then...come back onto the forum...and tell us about how you view people who come to these forums and make their first post ever about how they intend to impress people by "faking it till they make" it with a watch. Good luck dude. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. $130000??? Did he buy it from John Mayer? The seconds hand is wrong (tail too long), as is the insert for being a gen. The T on the dial is not bold enough. I hope your friend did not get burned. It may be a Franken with a Rolex movement but there are many clear tells in this picture.

  14. Hi members, I've built some Egi's and want to share the pics with you. Here they are: This one is sandblasted, got a 6mm plexi and was relumed with orange vintage lume. Hands were treated with 1000 grit sandpaper. Second Hand was minimized to a single arm. Strap was made from grey leather with beige stitching to match the lume and hands, buckle was made from brass, also to match the hands and lume. This one was treated with acid, brass and Carbonsteel powder to vintagize it and was relumed with orange vintage lume. Hands were treated with 1000 grit sandpaper. Second Hand was minimized to a single arm. Strap was made from vintage leather with brass buckle. And here is the whole EGI Family Thank you for looking Greetz Uwe
