  2. It's been a while since I last took a minute to post pictures of a build, but it's not everyday I get to work with Viet parts these days... And I wanted to share about this one. This is a case retailed by Phong. I reshaped it to have a better angle of brushing on the lugs and create large bevels. The polishing was made to give the feeling of an extremely well kept watch. No new. Not half destroyed. Just right. The crown is form the same dealer, but it was completed with an athaya tube featuring the correct seat shape allowing the crown to seat higher. Dial, hands are from Phong as well. The dial was matte: I tripped it and lacquered it with 3 coats of arylic, and finished it with Vernilline to simulate the patina. A puffy lume job after and voilà ! Bracelet is from Yuki of course, refinished with the mirror polishing inside like seen on early models. Inside beats a swiss slow beat and non hacking behaving like a genuine rolex calibre. A super piece to wear and keep !!!!! Enjoy the pics !

  3. For grins... One of the only actual reps left in my collection; an old school MBW Nautilus...

  4. My left wrist is 6 1/2 inches. I find that size is not the whole story as some watches wear smaller than others of the same size. I have a V&C Overseas white dial which at 42mm wears fine with jeans. I also have a black bay replica that is also fine for casual wear. I don't have my notebook to hand at the moment. But IIRC IWC actually reduced the size of the MK line and some are smaller, a google enquiry might be a good start.

  6. Sure thing. Sold 4 recently that needed repair. Lots of others are now with friends and family. At least 50 must have passed trough my hands (and wrist). But I have a goal to reduce my collection to the size of this box..seems a close to impossible task. 12 should be enough........

  7. You guys probably know I've sworn on my dog's eyes that I'd never wear a (puke) Panerai. Horrible things. [emoji1361] While we were on the Isle of Man, Andy tossed around a whole boatload of Panerai watches and the buggers got under my skin. Or maybe it was the heady atmosphere of beautiful women and long days and no sleep? [emoji469] Regardless, I found myself glancing at them more and more. Yes dammit, I heard their Siren Song. [emoji13] And now I've got one of Andy's fine pieces (actually his BEST piece) on my wrist, and here I am... popping my cherry with my first EVER wristie of me and a Pam. I've got to say gents... this is a darn fine piece. THERE I SAID IT!!

  9. I have even done it on the V7 insert and it also brings that closer to the vibrance of the silver tone of the gen inserts. It may may be a cheap fix but it's better than the other solutions out there.
