I love these watches, great for first time modder's (like myself) and there're tons of aftermarket parts available for them. You can pick up an Invicta 8926 "Submariner look-alike" on Amazon for ~$80 shipped to your door within 2 days and they come with the Seiko NH35a movement (which hacks and hand winds). Good luck finding a similar featured micro-brand watch for anywhere near that price! Ground off the engraved "INVICTA" logo from the side of the watch and re-polished the case. Simply replaced the dial / hands / bezel and bracelet clasp with a custom laser engraved milled clasp. Have less than $200 invested in this one. I was a little more adventurous with this one... Ground off the "INVICTA" logo and removed the Crown Guards. The rest is standard fair, also added a Parnis P210 bracelet with solid endlinks.

Hey guys I’m tired of dissembling myself the Oyster bracelets I have. Anyone would know where to pick up those nice specific tools displayed in this video by “Perfect Time” I need at least the repair tool and the refitting tool.. If some one have ideas .. Thanks !!

After years of keeping this beauty in the box, finally made the decision to go for a complete mod closer to the real Jumbo even though it's still miles off. Torn down the ETA movement and did a complete overhaul. Gone with the seconds hand, mod on the cannon pinion to give a solid end, polished up the crown removing the PP logo - this is what the gen should look like. Alas, the hands are scratched but they were actually came like that, those scratches were not noticed as they were covered up by the seconds hand on top. Two pieces winding stem installed, so it will save all the hassles from removing the movement from the solid caseback now. If a folding clasp can be installed onto the bracelet it would be a step closer Some pics to share here. Hope you will enjoy.

Suggest you should just wear it and acquire a ceramic or forged carbon or steel rep diver and get legend to mod a little for you. Or if you have 5 grand to spare you can acquire a franken AP ROO, and have a couple of watches in your arsenal to play with. You already bought the watch, and its meant to be worn. TBH, AP has very little residual appreciation, you can see historically all the steel 42-44mm ROOs prices are coming down by at least 30% or even more for some RG models. This means, even if you keep it in the safe, it wont appreciate any much more unless you plan to bet on selling it after 40-60 years in Mint, quite possibly you could make some money, but we do not know yet. Historically speaking, the Jumbo RO only made it with appreciation value, many other ROOs which majority of them did not hold their value that well. So I would suggest you to wear this occasionally instead. I have a few friends who plays with these gen ROOs and they wear them almost daily because they are aware about this massive depreciation on their watches, when they dont like it anymore they will sell it without even thinking twice. And yes, you cant get away with those hairline scratches no matter how careful you are, its inevitable. Look at AP as sort of owning a Bentley, people who could afford the real thing often change their cars within 5 years, even when it suffered massive depreciation that would still move on to a newer Bentley, since they already made that much. this is just my personal observation and opinion

I decided to use the JF case to put it together. Here is the outcome: JF 114060 case and bracelet. Noob V7 clasp. Gen Dial Spongebob Insert JF Hands It’s a beautiful outcome, although I need to progress my franken 16610 and may end up selling this to fund.

Thanks brother. In my line of work, it's not always in my best interest to show up wearing a Rolex / IWC / Panerai on my wrist... I love these because if/when asked, I can pull the "it started life as an $80 Invicta" and anyone with basic mechanical experience and a little patience can design and build their own semi-custom version. Also, getting comfortable with these makes me far less scared to work on the $900+ Yuki 9411 case/dial that I have on my bench currently.
