  2. What do we think about just having a Wristie thread in perpetuity? The participation level on a daily basis for a new thread each day feels a bit lackluster. It may be cool to have them all consolidated. Just a thought. I'm wearing this, but the way.

  4. I’m UK based but use @SSTEEL who is a Brit living in the EU. As has been said I’d not put a gen dial in, certainly not yet. Maybe get used to the watch, grow to love it and then decide if you want to spend a lot of cash frankening it with gen parts. Who knows, your taste in watches may even change. That’s what’s great about reps, you can buy, flip, buy, flip very cheaply and enjoy them as you would a gen but at a fraction of the cost.

  5. Ah, beautiful build, all the details are just right. I think you've reached the limit of what can be done reasonably without paying a fortune for gen parts. Now just start the aging process 😀

  7. HI Gents, Time has passed and the ultimate Bond watch (imho) has finally came to me... To make a long story (That made me learn a lot about Rolex Sports Watches - Many thanks to you all), this journey started there: the inspiration Has already described: VN case "specially" engraved between the lugs and caseback (II.59); Last Batch Athaya Crown and Tube (better profile than the VN stock one); "special" dial configuration to match GoldFinger Movie by the one and only BC; the rhabillage was also done beautifully by BC; Clarks hands set relumed to mach dial by BC; ST 2130 Seagull ETA clone; spacer noded specifically; Sputim correct length and profile bars (cheers again mate!); old RAF strap from England, 20mm. I supposed, that is a good conclusion to this thread : la boucle est bouclée. Promise, the last one... Cheers !

  11. Yep, Madas is one of the old timers. Hover your mouse pointer over his name in his posts and in your status bar you'll see he's member #411. He was here literally from day one when we migrated over from the sinking ship that was our first RWG. This gentleman represents the best of RWG. We have a few guys that have been here since the beginning and they bring their skill, passion and gentlemanly approach to everything they touch. It's much appreciated to see them still around.

  12. Going on 11 years owning this one with ETA 7750 Mov't + day/date wheels and The Zigmeister lined the dial/hands... Taka AR'd crystal. Reliable workhorse is an understatement!
