Nice little collection there MP. I've noticed a significant renaissance in the Breitling reps since I came back and I can see why judging by these examples.

Jeff - As the proud owner of a lovely 6 year old but mint blue Jag XK8, I say go for it. Once you've dismissed depreciation, fuel cost, insurance etc. etc. and you get down to the enjoyability and affordability criteria then you've made your mind up.
I rewarded myself following 18 months of solid hard work. I felt I deserved it and fortunately so did my missus.
Je ne regret rien!

That's nice man! I'm sure you bought the paperwork to sell it as a gen on the bay... And you are a f.ckin scammer just like me right?
No, I don't think so.
Greetz.
Okay you've made your point as have others. Let's keep the posts respectful please.
Whilst this is a subject worthy of debate, there is nothing to be gained in trashing each other.

He never misses but occasionally he gets nicked
All joking aside though, I think I'm correct in saying that at a gig in Washington in 1989, whilst doing one of his windmills he speared his plectrum hand right through with the guitar's tremolo bar and needed to be taken to the hospital.
Now that is suffering for one's art!

PS - And people wonder why he used to smash these things up - they're dangerous weapons of hand destruction for Pete's sake!!!

In say 6 months time you'll and in all probability regret ever asking the question.

The fact is that it doesn't really matter since Reps should always be protected by a HEAVY layer of duct tape over the face when worn anyway (*IMPORTANT* the face of the watch, NOT your own face), in order to prevent scratches. If you've duct taped your watch properly, no one (including you) should be able to even SEE the crystal anyway.
You just can buy good advice like that these days!

PS: How many of the ones that don't tick are old Asian 6497's, seconds at 6 chronos, or correct hand stack 2836 GMT's?
Suprisingly none Robbie. In truth there is only one that doesn't tick. A cheapo Colamariner I got in the very early days. Don't miss it - the cheap tinny bracelet used to give me a rash and it had more flaws than you'd find at a flaw convention. Where's the next one btw?

Hey all!
Now had you started with "Four score and seven years ago.......hey all!" this would have created more of an impact, you would have carved your name with pride on RWGs big wooden doors. You may even have catapulted yourself straight into 'classic post' folklore.
Alas it's "Hey all!" and therfore all that remains is for me to extend a simple but respectful, "Hello" right back at you.

Good point and got me thinking...it can be a bit of a "dark desert highway" as well so it pays to bring a flashlight on your venturing.
