I am talking about the CDG CN6497 without swan neck regulator... Chinese version of the Swiss 6497 came with cheaper Pams... I was swapping cases last night (TI to PVD) and everything went well... last step, I was winding the crown, suddently it clicked and lost the grip, turned all the way back by itself... the minute hand spins like crazy, looks like a little fan ... running for 5 seconds. then DIED, I tried to take everything apart, nothing is working... paperweight again... My previouse 2 broke because of the hairspring issue (see The Zigmeister's post)... Now I am afraid of wind other pams afraid of the samething might happen again... Do you guys have the same problems with your higher end 6497 copies? Anybody got the new G series paul is selling? looks great...

Just finished my project, crown upgrade/CG modified, dial re-finished, case was scratched then polished (vintage look)... solid case back is on the way, thick strap.... what else??? how do you guys like it? Center pin has not been replaced, but I was able to modify it a little bit to look better... Here are the pics: WRIST:

Vric, you are right... I do prefer a quartz any day over a cheap 7750. A white face version is for sale right now on the sales section.
