  1. Tried to make a purchase and it fails at the paypal page "there is a problem with this sellers paypal account, please try again later" emailed but no response..
  2. Quick question, is ingod44 still in business? Has anyone made a purchase recently?
  3. Do let us know what you find, could be useful replacements for Daytona fat hands.
  4. Just wondered if anyone had ever sold a gen watch and replaced it with a rep version? I know it happens a lot the other way around, but has anyone ever done this and why? Many of us have a lot of money tied up in genuine watches and it often crosses my mind as to whether the difference is worth it? particularly in the case of custom build pieces. I don't think I'll ever do it but your never know I suppose!
  5. Thanks for the info Akira Where can I get a decent dial?
  6. Congratulations, it's a great looking watch I have a question about when you say you 'slimmed down the mid case case' can you go into any more detail in what exactly you did please? Cheers!
  7. Tbh I think you've gone too far looks it looks trashed.
  8. I smell of a combination of Aqua di Parma, desperation and pure win!
  9. Most vintage daytona reps now have an asymmetric pusher set up but I agree with dieselpower the 6263 posted does look as though it has symmetrical pushers. Old stock maybe??
  10. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/idaytona/id380496550?mt=8 No affiliation, but I bought this recently and thought you guys would like it. Very good, very comprehensive reference guide for vintage Rolex Daytonas.
  11. Thanks for the info, I've been reading up on that mod and I'm happy to have a go as it dosen't seem too complicated. As for dial options I'll get one from yuki or suchlike which would be accurate enough for me and possibly fit a gen coronet on the dial, I'm happy to spent a few hundred on mods just not thousands
  12. Thanks guys, my plan was to buy a handwound cartel daytona and mod it as and when funds allow (a new dial and hands would be my most pressing concerns) as much as I admire the amazing daytona builds I've seen here and elsewhere I'm not comfortable spending thousands on what would still be a rep at the end of the day.
  13. Looking for some inspiration for my first build, I more or less know what I have in mind, but if you have a vintage Daytona please post some pics for inspiration. If you could mention where it from and any mods too that would be appreciated. Cheers.
  14. Is there nothing to be said for the cartel Daytonas then?
  15. Cheers, it's nice to be back. I paid £1850 for the sub at the time, but yes, money in the bank.
  16. Most of the cartel reps are using the a seagul s19 movement aren't they? The ones I've been looking at anyway.
  17. These threads are worth a read of you haven't already. http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/171800-rolex-6265-the-cartel-daytona-revised/ http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/136033-modding-the-cartel-vintage-daytonas-for-proper-sub-dial-spacing/
  18. Hello all, signed up here years ago when I was thinking of buying a vintage sub replica. After asking for advice here, you good people recommend I bought a gen 14060m in the end (my budget in 2008 being £1400) which is exactly what I did and I'm so grateful I took your advice since then I've added a gen 18k 1601 DJ which I'm also very happy with but sadly any further gens seem out of the question especially as I've a hankering for a vintage Daytona! Anyway it's good to be back here, rep forums are so much more interesting than gen forums for some reason? I'm blown away by how much the rep scene has improved and as ever I take my hat off to some of the mods and builds I've seen around here. Outstanding. Cheers guys. Dan
  19. I've been thinking the same thing, Phong, Yuki etc are too expensive, DW unreliable so am thinking of modding a cartel daytona, will follow this thread with interest..
  20. thanks guys dosnt look like a gen dial will fit. There was/is one on the bay. Anyway, cheers!
  21. Anybody measure there rep monaco dial and crystal id be very gratefull, thanks Dan.
