  1. Nice choice!Car becomes a twitchy b*tch on the street with the track key that come with the Leguna Seca. My Toys!
  2. See the 2 "arms" off the balance bridge...the one with the 2 "spots" of brass...that is your regulating arm. On the underside there is a "fork" that adjusts the length of the hair spring. Move that lever clockwise and you basically shorten the length of the hair spring decreasing the balance swing, causing a increase in the rate. Works just the opposite way moving the arm the CCW. What you are looking for is typically used for micro adjustments.
  3. Yep, always going to have haters. Rob (Kid Rock) is one of the most down to Earth guys I have ever meet. Been listening to him for over 20 years, back when he just a rapper. I used to go see him at all the clubs aroundd Detroit when he was only known locally. After his shows he would hang around and pick up everyones bar tab. He still stops in the local bars around Romeo, MI., where he will walk up like any regular, sit down next to you, buy you a beer, and shoot the sh*t about the Tigers, Red Wings, etc. People don't rush up to him all star struck asking for his autograph, as he is just a local guy. Like I said, very down to Earth. Now his brand of beer...that is some thing to laugh at! J...BJORK rocks!
  4. Agree 100%. Their pieces outside of tthe Defy line are just amazing. I made the mistake a few years back when the economy was going into the tank in that I did not purchase a Zenith Class Traveller World Timer from a local AD going out of business...for 70% off retail! Stupi, stupid move!
  5. I saw this some time ago…still too funny. Some of these pieces, like the Stealth Open Chrono look sexy, but the stars on the bezel just kill it for me!
  6. +1...Not to menation the parts are not interchange able between the ETA and Sellita. I worked on a memebers watch that had a SW200 movement. No where near as clean and refined as a ETA movement, not to mention I had to wait 3 weeks for a date jumper wheel. There is NO WAY that Rolex would be moving to Sellita either. They make every component in their movements, they are one of the few manufactures that make their own hiar springs in house, to abandon in the facilities, R&D, etc. to go with a off the shelf movement would be a very poor business move. Also, Swatch is not shutting off their movements supply too their well established customer like Breilting and Tag. What they are doing, it not selling movements to new start-up watch companies that manufacture thier other components in China... i.e. Invicta.
  7. You know you could always come wait out the storm in the 313. We can go rock a SHO up to a WC drive thru!
  8. Exactly! Not to mention the impulse faces of the pallet fork would be all out of whack, so they would need to be swapped.
  9. There is a fully modded 188 in the FS Section now. I know the guy who built it! As close to Gen as you are going to get, with a Swiss 7753, same movement the gens use!
  10. When I bought my Gen Blue Baton SA, I had my AD add a Gen Blue Croc with Deployant...I wore the watch out of the store on the croc., which I left on for a couple days. The strap and dial looked great and I wanted it to work so bad, but after putting on the bracelet, no matter how hard I tried to go back to the croc, the watch felt too top heavy (funny due tot he SA size, right) and just did not feel right. Kind of like putting economy tires on a Porsche! It just handled wrong! Now, on my SOHC LE, which is not that much smaller then the SA, is just too sweet on a gen. calf then the mesh bracelet, the bracelet just sits in the box.
  11. The best looking strap on a SA, is none at all! The SA has no business with a strap on it. Bracelet is the only way to wear it. The head is so heavy, that any strap not only looks weak, but also makes the watch feel unbalanced.
  12. As TX said 5ATM, is plenty. The WR rating has less to do with depth and more to do with dynamic pressure on the watch as pressure testers measure static. In simple terms, put a watch down to a depth where it sees 3ATM (static) and move it around at a given constant and you will increase the dynamic pressure greater then 3ATM. If you really have your heart set on testing to 10ATM, I have a machine that will do it...and more.
  13. 5000K....Holy Sh*t! Congrats Red! Thanks for being a great asset to the community! ...and not having much of a life outside of here!
  14. Is it me or does Lingman sound like he has half a jelly filled donut in his mouth when he is running it?
  15. You are very welcome! Glad you are happy with it!...No idea why the DW would be off center now. From the pic I sent you the "7" is bang dead center. Could be a miss-registration the the DW printing.
  16. Grahams are some of the best reps on the market! In some ways their quality is better then the gens.
  17. You would be amazed at how many gen owners would never pick up on a rep!
  18. eBay...But I belive they are the low 21.6K beat.
  19. Gen Dial makes this piece just AWESOME!
  20. What part of the balance did you break? The wheel? A pivot? If you broke the wheel itself, then you will need a wheel and spring as they are a matched pair, which means you have to transfer the balance staff and rollers...difficult to do without a steaking set The issue if you go with a ETA replacement part, like a full balance complete, it may or may not work with the hole & cap jewels. Heck, I have found there are enough variants with the A7750's, you might have the problem as well! Easy and cheap way would be to get it to a watchmaker that knows what he is doing...and his attitude. Some fo the old timers that have the skills to make things such as balance staffs from scratch wont touch a rep.
