  1. Thanks for the link...never knew these guys existed or heard about them through any of the local watchmakers I know...I feel a project coming on! Need to see if I can visit their shop.
  2. Hahahaha! I don't know man...that was from a off camber downhill blind turn. How bout knee down...Need to find my pics of backing it into turn 1 at Jennings where smoke is coming of the pavement and rear wheel and my elbow is about 2mm from touching the track.
  3. Since my 2-Wheel brother has chimmed in as I knew he would... My Duc Eater... I need to trackdown the picture I have of a guy setting the rear wheel bearing of his 916 back into the wheel with a hammer and JB Weld. Damn thing came out during a street ride around VIR!
  4. Dry clutch...ahh yes, the sound of clutch plates mixed with gravel making all the on lookers wonder "Is your bike broken and about to fall apart?"
  5. I have grown out of hating the B01 bezel into being able to handle it, becuase I like the rest of the watch so much. Really do like the GMT complication. Bout time B got into adding onto their B01 module as it was designed for.
  6. My wife keeps telling me that and I keep nodding my head "Yes I know". Really wanted a MV, but too many electrical Gremlins and it takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r to get parts! Plus the wife picked the RSV4F over the MV.
  7. I love how people from Southern Canada (Ohio), love to live in the past 8 years of Mich/OSU football, while completely ignoring the years prior. Michigan (my Alma Mater) has more Big Ten Championships, Rose Bowl appearances, Rose Bowl wins, etc. OSU football is comparable to Columbus Blue Jacket hockey...it is entertaining to watch but at the end of the day you are left wondering…”do these fools really know anything that is printed in the rule book?”
  8. I had a 916 got ride of it due to electrical issues...then I went for a 748SP...5K miles and it ate its own oil pump causing the engine to blow during a trackday Mid Ohio...Ducati did NOTHING! Fixed it up and got rid of it swearing off the POS's forever. I know they have gotten much better electrically and mechanically, but too many issues for me to ever give Ducati my money again. My good friend had a 999R, clutch let got after 300 miles. Have had Yamahas, Suzukis, and Hondas all of which I have abused and beaten the hell out of...not a single issue. Only bike left in the stable is my 1-Litre Duc Eater...RC51. Looks like it will be joined here shortly by a RSV4 Factory.
  9. Some just get really hung up on the semantics around here. Don’t worry about it.
  10. There are several versions of crowns & tubes for the Skylands and Super Avenger. I found this out while working on a members watch here...Both Steel Skylands that had crowns that we not interchangeable with one another. So even if Andrew where able to get you parts, they may not fit. I have access to aftermarket SA crowns and tubes that drop right into the gens and are way better then the reps. The knurling on the rep crown is no where near as deep as found in the gens. No plugging the case required...Just remove the old crown tube (push in) and tap for the gen-like tube. Drop the new crown onto the stem and you are good to go
  11. Yep, and there was also one with a actual running 30 sec. chrono, but no 24hr hand function. Never saw much of it.
  12. I have a spare after market crown/tube SA setup that drops right into the Gens. Comparing it to my Gen SA, you can not tell the difference. PM me if you are interested.
  13. No it is a Gen. Movement is too complex to rep...running seconds @3, GMT Function and 30s chrono...can't get all of that out of a 7750...well with enough effort anythign is possible, but you will have a DW that is sunken a foot.
  14. I like this guy! As for making Gen parts fit...You can make anything fit as long as you want to spend the time doing modifications. I have machined cases before to make dials fit that I was told would not...That is the best part about Reps...you can tinker all you like!
  15. That is for a leather strap. Best bet, contact one of our dealers and see if you can get a new bracelet.
  16. Wow...I want one...Been eyeing up a grey dialed wolf for a while. Beautiful!
  17. I like this idea...nothing wrong if you want to sell here, you have to become a member and build a little trust. Great for the buyer and our little family.
  18. The leather straps from the twins used to be really well made and very nice. A couple steps below Gens, but not at all what you describe. Like everything else in this hobby...QC is not very high up on the priority list.
  19. That is what I love about the GMT...It Diameter is bigger then the SA,! Nice that it is no where near as thick.. I have the black face GMT...Will post some pics tonight.
  20. Looks awesome man! Much more rugged looking being brushed with just a hint of high gloss!
  21. My AD has the silver dial...Okay, but not a nice as the black. Waiting for a black one and making it mine.
  22. I would be game if bigger sizes become available...
  23. A few for starters… Oh wait…that is Rob's! More later when I can pull out the rest of the collection and get some shots of my new pieces.
  24. For me it is the SteelFish. Goes great with everything. I find the finish also defines a everyday watch...Hi polished comes across as more dressy and flashy, then some thing that is muted by a brushed finish with polished character line.
