  1. If the item was delivered via FedEx, isn't there a tracking number for that item? If so... That should be enough proof to your dealer that problems had occured which prevented the delivery of your parcel.

    Ubi , you are right.

But as you can (all) clearly see it does not say robbery. It just says "Delay beyond our Control" (cannot imagine that they have a delivery status says "item stolen" .... it wouldnt be a good adevertising for them).

Clearly though it states that the package was not delivered to me.

    Now the question is:

    - Should the dealer replace with new watch Free Of Charge

  2. Ouch. I hope the stolen package was listed at the correct value so that you (or the dealer) don't get shorted on the insurance end.

    40 usd for obvious reasons

Fedex Spain are saying know that they will contact the supplier in CN to replace it free of charge.

Of course we all know that this a "dead-end" road.

What is also bothering me is that the dealer could easily think (he has all the rights in the world to think that way) that I am lying.

Any way .... veterans here know me well .... so that may not be a problem at the end.

  3. .... the last thing happened.

2 months ago ordered a HBB SS from a well known and good dealer.

Watch arrived but some with broken bezel crews , loose band and subdial at 6 not functioning (you know ... the usual excellent QC).

Dealer nicely said will ship another one. Send me back the one you got (the defective) when you receive the new one.

Yesterday FEDEX called me that will deliver me a pack from CN during afternoon (the new HBB).

At afternoon they called me to say that the pack (my pack only ... was the last one left on the van) was stollen from their VAN.

They have reported the robbery to the police .... their Contact Center will call me to explain what is the procedure

  4. Angus (Puretime) has just said that the Aquatimer Chrono is on its way and should be out in 1-2 weeks!

Far better and nicer than the IWC CD.

The bad thing is that we will have to let pass the first 4 to 6 months to let the problems surface first.

  5. Nothing to do with porn.....it's to do with all the bampots...... ( yeah you know who you are )..... that e-mailed me asking if the Breitling rubber straps I posted for sale were GENYOOINE.......if they were genuine I'd be posting them on the Breitling forum at Timezone or on the Bay.....and I wouldn't be asking $45.00 with FREE f****ng shipping.....which is why I posted REPLICA Breitling straps ..on a bloody REPLICA forum......DUUUUUHHHHH....!

  6. I think pugwash's point is that despite flaws, etc. people re obviously still buying these reps. Therefore there is no reason for the price to come down. In fact, they only seem to be climbing.

First they make a rep for $200 and people say it's expensive then still buy it. Then $350 - expensive but they still buy it. $600, $800, $1000 - all the same thing.

As long as they're/we're buying them, there is no reason to lower the prices even with whatever flaws they have.

    That's unfortunately true.

Though it only applies to either newbies or infrecuent buyers.

If you are in to reps 3+ years (veterans) and you own more than 10+ reps then sooner or later you discover that:

    1. Control your impulse when and how buying

    2. Wise buyers read a lot and wait a lot

    3. Not worth spending money (any kind of money) on something that has 50% chances to
