Hi guys.

I have the Chop GMT panda, both with rubber band and bracelet.

Thinking to replace the rubber band with a lether strap (racing or not .... dont really care).

Any alternatives out there ..... having in mind that:

- the mm at the lugs and buckle of the watch are not quite standard

- the chopard clasp (that come with the rubber band) has that fat pin that is hard to get into the strap holes.

Any ideas out there ????

Unless you get the Cyclops removed, and an AR coated Chieftang 7mm cyclops installed instead. That's what I'm doing. I don't care that the gen does not have AR, my rep will. What's the point of having a tuxedo dial if you can't see it clearly? The non-AR coated standard crystal completely washes out the dial and it's texture.

I have the 029 with 2893-2 .... and I fully agree with you.

Without AR you cannot really get the beauty of the Tuxedo dial.

I was told today that wendsday gona be ready, i need to do second part ASAP as hollidays are comming, nobody like to have there watches and crystals stucked in post traffic

Both watches can be found (new) with about 50 to 90 usd less tan the listed price.

Have in mind that the Tag is a smaller (in mm) watch.

Trade is about fair I will say.

Mine works fine.

GMT in sync with hour hand .... and chrono works and resets fine (...even though I try not to use it too much).

Since the AR is nothing near compared to the Superocean , how it is compared to the ultimate UPO ??? (if you have this to compare it).

Date and number fonts have a week white color ??

I have send more than 10 watches back to CHN for either change or repair.

All of them "registered" mail and all of them arrived without problems.

Just received my PO 45 and managed to get the pins out in order to resize the bracelet. But wasn't able to get them back in through the tubes.

Brought it to a watchsmith today.

You need a case holder and a plastic (head) hammer

Things are getting a good direction ... it seems.

Remember I said no compilation shots anymore, after the dread Strapitis thread. Instead, I have gone on record saying that I'll always post a different watch in each Wristcheck. Hope you have been paying attention.

(Same goes for my straps. There's a new one in each Wristie)

A response as a singular mod... not from the team.

Yes, we were well aware of the situation, as it unfolded from information from members; it was the subject of much discussion within admin.

And yes, steps were taken to protect members... for instance, he wasn't banned, to leave the door open for ongoing contact.(and some others, not to be disclosed here)

As far as a written warning to members, I beleive the many threads on the subject-just some of which I post below-

should have been ample warning for any member who carried out even the remotest search!

However all this info surfaced "after the event", and we certainly didn't have a crystal ball to fortell actions.

The reason for this forum, is for information to pass freely... in a perfect world it would all be positive and useful info, in this case negative, but still useful info was published.

Where possible we try to leave it to the members to arrive at their own judgements, and only act when we see irrefutable scam attempts in progress ( you would be amazed at how many new "members' are removed at 1st or 2nd post!... 1 in the last 24 hours)

I might add, that just like the general membership, there was a variance of opinions within admin, however, as always, the most popular opinion held sway, and the team proceeded on that course of action.

So I beleive the judgement call of the team, finally has been proven correct, contact has been restablished, and it would appear that things are being sorted.

But we are not the rep police, we manage the running of the forum, not the policing of actions, or lack thereof, of members.

Many of the things said for you ... maybe were not quite right ... but also many of the things you did (or you didn't as promised) were not quite right either.
