  1. Did I miss something here? What does drop shipping a watch have to do with a watch that worked perfectly fine for 13 months? I support your view on drop shipping, but come on, that has nothing to do with this topic. The watch was worn for a year, then the helium valve fell off, that sucks, and probably contributed to the movement breaking. It looks like all the watch needs is a new HE valve which another member convered and a service which is never a bad idea anyway.

I know and you are right. B)

I just wanted to express my own pain. -_-

  2. Can somebody pls pm me with Precious Time email address ???

Got a piece from him and there some minor problems.

All coms so far with him were done here through PMs but ist seems he has not logged in to the forum for that last 3 days.

Need to get in touch with him.

    Thanks in advance

  3. This actually comes with single (inner)- sided AR, mate... It's pretty difficult to "capture" the AR because of the crystal profile, which is really curvy and all... i'll be getting this double-AR'd with k2222 pretty soon, though... ;)

...And as waht TWP mentioned, this GMT is really one of the most underrated watches around... Solidly built, and really beautiful....:wub:

Then there is something that I dont understand.

All Chop GMTs are made by one and the same manufacturer and that is confirmed.

On mine (panda dial) I can hardly see any AR ... and yes I do get reflections.

Comparing my Chop GMT to my single AR UPO 2824 , the UPO has much , much better AR.

So , do we have a case here where the UPO has true AR and the Cho GMT has "light" AR ???

  4. Hi,

I'm wondering about the background of the thread...

If the intention is to say "don't hide defects in watches for sales", that makes sense. But again, you don't need Photoshop to cheat : have the problematic part of the watch not pictured, hide you have a defective movement etc... The question is not about using artifices, but about being honest. I think there's no direct relation between both things.

The intention behind this topic is to state that when reviewing, trading , comparing etc....through

If you are talking about the Porsche P6910, I have seen it in the album of puretime...No review or availability, but it seems to have a loooong way to go to enter 'super rep' status.. So many flaws it is not worth it..

    Hey .... what's up Geo ;)

    Long time no hear.

  6. Morning Guys (and gals if any around).

I am reviving this topic for the following reason:

I just received my Chop GMT , white dials and black subdials.

Watch under test right now , so far runs OK in all aspects.

But ..... one thing that strikes me a bit is that the AR coating it looks rather "light" (Dealers claim single AR coating).

I compare it with my UPO 45 mm (single AR coating) and the AR looks much better and stronger on the UPO rather than the Chop GMT.

Added: The more I am checking the more I am convinced that the Chop GMT I received has no AR !!!!! <_<

Any owners of both out there that can do a quick comparison and feed back pls ???

    Many thanks

Bump ....... for an AR comparison between the Chop GMT and the UPO

  7. My 2 drachmas.

    Back to the subject:

I understand the "hobby" side of it (retouching the pictures) and that's OK, but when trading , reviewing and comparing , people they try to judge both from the comments as well as from the look of the watch.

To me retouching the pictures is exactly the same as the Fashion and Goship magazines (btw , I dont read them, I hate them)
