  1. I don't see why they wouldn't have genuine 2836-2 movements? What I also don't see is how you could spend over 400 euros on a submariner knock off, when you can get a full-fledged submariner replica here for $100 ... !

If you can find me a rep with gen swiss eta at 100 $ ... I will buy it right now. :D

... well , I guess you have a point though. Toomuch for something that looks like a PO or sub.

  2. Hi Guys ,

I am not a great "seeker" of Rlx watches (but the few I have are trully good) ... so dont know much about the secrets of modding and improving these old timers.

Any way ... here are my doubts and questions:

I recently got a MBW SUB LV from Paso (well I baught from another member who got it from Paso).

This is an MBW watch with swiss 2836-2 mov.

Yesterday I've lost the pearl from the bezez (usual thing with the subs)

From what I remember MBW watches do accept std OEM after market bezels .... but to be honest I have never tried this myself.

    - Can anybody confirm that Paso watches accept std OEM Bezels that can be fiited without further treatment ??

    - Will be better to go for a glued bezel or a "snap-in" one ???

    - Where I can get the best and closest to the original green color and pearl bezel (no, don't want a gen Rlx bezel ... and no, dont want to buy from Ofrei ... he is ..lets say rare)

    - I saw an old post here that "good sub lv pearls" can be found and glued back to the bezel. Anybody can provide any more info on this ???

    Thanks for your help guys.

  3. This watch keep in mind was the new quality inspected piece after the intial batch was rejected by the dealer because of QC issues. I had to wait a month to get the watch you are looking at. How would you react?

This is pure Marketing lies the dealer is telling you or his QC is very loose (he is only rejecting watches that simply dont function at all and all the rest pass through).

  4. @Andreas: Personally, I think RWG already has WAAAAYYYY too many subforums. We already have lots of subforums which rarely get used at all.

If I could decide alone, I would make the forum layout even simpler and get rid of even more subforums (that we already have). :) This doesn't mean your idea isn't good (in principle), I'd just want to keep the forums as simple and user friendly as possible. And like Pugs said, we already have the gen section (which doesn't get that much traffic mind you)

I think there should be very heavy reasoning (and demand), if we even consider creating of ANY new subcategories. And usually when people post to these obscure subforums, they rarely get many responses at all... BECAUSE PEOPLE WON'T READ THESE AREAS. It's simple as that.

This is a bit OT, but here's a good example of completely useless subforum (that we don't have here):

    Eyecandy

We have Rolex, PAM, TAG, Breitling, IWC, Omega and "Other Brands" subforums. If someone wants to search pics of the new Omega rep model, he can go directly to the Omega section and find absolutely EVERYTHING there. Search feature is one of the most important things on RWG, so where the hell do you need a duplicate "Eyecandy" subforum to make searching of all pictures and information twice as complicated? I say keep it simple stupid! :)

PS: People suggested a "Vintage forum" year ago or so... but we tanked the subforum just because we didn't want to make searching the forum a complete mess. And that area would have been just 99% Rolex MBW, so creating a "Vintage Forum" just for the sake of having yet another subforum didn't make any sense. There was absolutely no reason why the vintage MBW Rolexes couldn't be discussed in the Rolex subforum. And that's exactly the same reason why discussing Seikos and Citizens couldn't be done in the (already existing, and already low-traffic) Genuine Watch forum section. :)

Well ... was only an idea ... but I get your point
