Although I lived in Baden Baden West Germany in the late '80's and early '90's, times have changed. I noted a huge increase in costs last summer when I toured the EU in a motorhome with my sons...
So my question is simple, can I live a "comfortable" life in Paris, renting an apartment (around the 17th arrondisement area) and taking care of myself and my other half.
I don't plan on buying a car, just using the commuter system and renting a car if needed on weekends for country drives...
Questions:
1. Renting an apartment at 1600 Euro's a month gets what? Should I plan on 2000 Euro's a month, or 2500, or 1000 for rent to have a reasonable place to live (1 bedroom is fine)
2. Food costs, not eating out, buy buying your own groceries and cooking in house. For two people what is normal costs (not chateau briand, and not kraft dinner either...normal stuff)
3. Other costs I dont' know of, electricity, taxes, whatever...
I am sure I am missing some stuff, which is why I hope you can help me out.
Thanks for any insight.

80K Euros / annum net ... should be fine.
Is that means that know we can send watches to Paris ????

Im going back to Japan and would love to buy a Grand Seiko, but they are expensive
Alas maybe some pieces have to go
I have a PAM 29 and a PAM 63 but i very RARELY/NEVER WEAR THEM.
I understand how good they are and the movements, ETA 2893, Both wind like butter, so nice but if i dont wear them then whats the point??
Both have Super Lume and date wheel changes. I also have the replacement cyclops' just need to be installed and I also have the genuine crowns to be installed but just havent got round to it as i RARELY/NEVER WEAR THEM.
What is the going rate?
Should i sell them or keep them??
I will personally keep them .... but if you decide to sell them , two guys wanna buy in to the trades area.

I really do like the watch....I waited for a new T3 for the last 2 years but the small size allways stopped me from buying one.
Now they imprived the size (me hopes) to a whopping 48mm!!!
Gen is 52,7 mm

The Arnold Schwarzenegger Terminator watch
The original is 57.2 mm ....... a rather big watch , don't you think ???

These are old and long time scam sites ...but is always good to refresh memories.

I like it. Cant decide between the black or the grey (not the red though).
Somebody said this baby comes with single AR ??
The AR looks good on the pics (better than the new IWC aquatimer).
-
That balck seal is mine. he, he ...
Not assembled yet as far as I can see ... but Jakub will take care of it.
Thank God ..... now I will start wearing this watch again.
Without the AR was a perfect mirror. Great to comb my hair and make sun light signals.

Hi AMK000 - sorry, haven't looked at the post over the weekend. The Chopard Clasp ist still on the original rubber strap. I have not used it and do not plan to. The 22mm Hirsch is 20mm wide on the buckle side.
Maybe that's the only solution (not to use the Chopard clasp)....... or order a tailor made strap but that will be expensive (BANDA ??)
Another option...... need to check further though ... I have the feeling that the SOSF rep strap (black with white stiching) could fit the chopard lugs and clasp.
The only problem is that clasp fat pin of the chopard but as JMT says ... that can be unscrewed and screwed back.

SOSF
You got 50% more chances to get a non defective watch.

Ironically, the only flawless ones I have received are from member trades.
....... you are not the only one saying this.
Lately I am only buying watches from Collectors that do not dropshipp or from other members here.
That has brought the % of defective waches I received down by 70% (before it used to be 2 out of 4, now is 1 in every 5 or 6).
Is the lack of any QC and most of all the "Dropshipping" practice that "is doing sex" ( :cc_chinese: ) to the watches we receive.

Hey all.
A package sent with fedex got caught up in the customs (sweden) .. normally I always gets my watches by reg. airmail but josh did something wrong this time and it was sent with fedex..
Now after 10+10 days I get a mail from AWAPATENT that says "If you not comply with these rules.. destruction of watch + never import, sell watches marked with omegas trademark" we will proceed with legal (sues) and police-"something"..
So, what is my choices? I have to confirm that the watch is a replica and agree to destruct it! Or I will be suied... not good choices!!
ANyone been in this situation ??

I thought that the watch had a 16mm buckle/deployment size. Is it 18mm or 16mm?
Where the clasp gets in to the strap,
-
I posted this in the Monday wristcheck. Strap is 22mm (or was originally ;-).
Nice !!!!
A 22 mm strap at the lugs , if squeezed can fit OK the 21mm lugs.
But what you did with the 18 mm clasp ???? ...... or it doesn't have the Chopard clasp ???
-
@Euno:
Dont know if you are asking for the lugsize of strap shown or the watch ???
The watch is 21 mm at the lugs and 18 mm at the clasp (... the clasp itself is 18 mm).
I guess we will need a strap of 22 mm (squeezed) at the lugs and 20 mm (??? ... with a bit of a cut) at the clasp end.

i recevied a 07 CD on thursday and when i tested over night i noticed that the hour sub-dial is not counting .....everything else works and looks great ...i emailed my dealer about .... he hasnt replied but im sure its cause its the weekend .... should i exchange it and risk customs twice again or should i live with it until i get the watch service....i was gonna send about 3 watches to The Zigmeister at the end of next month ... what would u do
Send it back.
If got by customs ... ask for full refund from the dealer.
Enough is enough

Very nice pics and excellent combo.
... you need a wider (in mm) strap though.
-
Here's what I went with-- the carbon fiber with white stitching. I think it looks really good.
Also, notice that you can actually unscrew that fat pin and get it in that way...
Can that "fat pin" get unscrewed ???
