  1. Thanks Lani for bringing this up. A lot of members bought tickets in the last raffle which was at RWI. Members buy these tickets to win the watch and support the forum. Shortly after the raffle started it was asked here on RWG that the watch is only about 4 k USD incl the DLC and people did aks what would happen to the 2k profit done with this watch. This thread was removed from the admins a few hours later. Now the raffle is over, LoS left, we do not get any answers on that. There was a post on RG asking the same question, I copied it because I would like to find out about it too. Now this post got also deleted by the Admins from RG, so what is going on? I am a long term member on RWI and I personally know some guys from here. So I really appreciate that this is a topic here since RWI is still down. Here is the post which was deleted in RG
  2. Lani, thanks for that great post. I have done the same mod but left the AR on the crystal because I really liked the look of the dial. Now I bought the latest version of the GMT II C with the 316 steel and were the GMT hand is moving in 1h increments. I had a crystal left from the version before and it is thicker then the old version. Old version is 1.98 mm thick and the new version is 2.18 mm thick. So I couldn't use the old crystal and the new one is in for coating now. I will have it back end of next week. Lani, can you post the measurements of the clark crystal and the soure from whom to buy? Old watch is sold ! Just some pics of my old one.

  7. In February 2008 I bought my first HBB, a Tuiga SS high end version. About 1 month later I got a Tuiga RG watch for my birthday and at that time I really fell in love with the HBB's. Both watches came from Precious Time. After that I always looked at the Black magic and one day a French member from RWI put his watch on for sale, it was new and too big for him, so I bought it immediately, it was also the high end version, at that time the price was 1069 USD for that watch. This watch was PVD case with ceramic bezel and steel backside. I always liked this watch a lot and I decided in August of this year to start a Franken project with the Black Magic. Now since this year the Black Magic was available as an all ceramic watch and I wanted to use that model for the Franken. It was easy to sell my Black Magic to a colleague at work and my friend Taka sold me a brand new all ceramic watch which he got from Hont. My son hand carried this watch from Singapore to Germany end of September and that was the base for the Franken. I asked Taka to relume the hands and he did a great job. He also started to build some HBB crystals with good AR and these crystals became ready about 4 weeks ago. After changing the crystal it was time to implant a Gen movement and to change the ugly fake rotor. I knew the movement change was done 3 or 4 times already, 2 times by The Zigmeister and another time by Loosetime from RG. So I told my friend Domenico about my project and he said, no problem, I have done this already on several Pam 250 watches, which have the same layout. I felt scary because I read that The Zigmeister posted how difficult this swap is. At the end I trusted Domenico. So I drove to Switzerland, bought a couple of valjoux 7750 and send the watch to Domenico. I sent the watch last Friday, I got it back yesterday. 4 days incl shipping, I was a lucky guy. The result , I got a watch which feels like a Gen, when you wind it up you feel a difference to the A7750. Using the chronos feels different and when you set the time, the hands do not have too much play, just Gen feeling. Still sunken date wheel, but so is the Gen. Modds done: base HBB Black Magic all Ceramic Gen rubber strap relumed hands AR HBB crystal from Taka Gen Valyoux 7750 movement with black screws modded HBB rotor like Gen One thing is missing, the engraved H on one off the movement bridges. This is an esay fix, I think Francesco has still some for sale. About the movement swap, I am not a watchmaker but Domenico is and he does wonderful work for us rep collectors. He said the most challenging part of this swap is the length of the stem for the sec hand gear at 9 and the minute hand connection. I only can give you one advise if you are in EU and you need to find someone working on your replica, use Domenico, great guy. PM me if you need details. Now lots of pics about the swap and the watch, enjoy........... now the watch and finally on the wrist
  8. what about the markers at the seconed hand at 3? I think the gen has sec markers?
  9. I always clean my bracelets with WD40 and Baby Oil and then I use Loctide for the screws, no problems loosing a screw. I also used loctide with my HBB's
  10. got mine from Precious Time in the UK, great watch
  11. a new crown or tube will fix it
  12. no question about it, i got now over 50 watches from Precious Time , all are high end stuff....don't worry, PT willtake care of you
  13. reagarding the question if Rocket is a professional watchsmith: He told me that he worked in the Formula 1 business and when he got health problems with his family he made his hobby for living and quit the F1 circus.
  14. good luck with your Blackbird. I got mine back after 4 month, chrono pusher fall off, movement was overoiled, chronos didn't work anymore and I can see a small scratch onthe dial. If I were you, I would get that watch back asap and send it to vaccum. I still have a GMT II with him since 5 month, no communication from his side since March. I am giving up on that watch, RIP
  15. My 2 cents...I did not use Rocket for the AR run I sent 3 watches by the end of Jan....a Blackbird for reluming and 2 GMT for repair, gmt hand slipping, a well known problem. I was told from Rocket that I would have all watches back by end of Feb. Status of today is: I received the Blackbird and 1 off the GMT back after v3 month and calling him every week. The Blackbird came back and the chrono stop pusher fall off, I was lucky to find the pieces. Also the chrono did not work any more. I sent the watch to D and he sent me pics with an overoiled movement, he was able to fix everything. The lume job for the Black Black Bird was good, :-) hands up for Rocket on this..... The slipping hand problem on the GMT was fixed, but on the dial 2 index [5] and [7] where relumed with a differrent color. I do not know why this was done. So in other words, the dial looks funny nowand the watch cannot be used any more. I have asked Rocket now since 6 weeks via mails and phone messages when I will get the other GMT back, but I do not get any answers. Just my 2 cents, I did a mistake sending the watches to Rocket! There was no positive feedback in any Forums. I trusted him with his posts about reluming . I will never send anything to him again. I bought a new GMT II and he can keep my GMT which he still has, I am done with him and cannot recomment him anymore. Hope it will work out for you with the AR
  16. D fixed 2 AP with sec @ 12 for me..........He did a complete service and they are running like a gen
  17. guys, you are confusing the community. MBK and in the MBK center you find MBW Maria, his real name is Det...Pa..., by the way, he has a wooden leg, he is a German and he is an arrogant a...e and he is still enjoying his money he made and living in Thailand And Georg from Greece tried to sell his stuff ...the only guy who knows him good is watchmaster alias Kenzo Having said this, you still can get the good old vintages, but you have to order it directly and you can pick it up 2 days later from the store Price was last year 8000 baht, the AP with sec at 12 cost 13.500 baht. All other watches sold out of that store are junk. They tried to sell to me a ETA GMT and the movement was a cheap 21j...they thought a bluddy tourist from germany.....
  18. did anybody hear anything about the release of that watch? Any updates? In Feb the release was delayed to June
  19. I have seen the cheaper versions all with a crystall back, not the closed back
