  1. I agree, the YM2 definitely sounds like the end of Rolex... Vintage is the only way to go when it comes to this brand.
  2. I'd love to buy a skeleton tourbi (probably a 'no brand', since the breguet one sounds silly bearing a Blancpain style tourbi) but I don't see how I'm gonna get it serviced here in France... Could The Zigmeister or anybody on this board provide such service ? My guess is that those are really difficult to service, no ?
  3. Beside the new Milgauss, nothing very exciting, the Yatchmaster is really awfull, IMHO.
  4. I'm confused... are we talking about http://www.bestswiss-watches.com/ ? Isn't that Paul's website ?
  5. Come on, you can't be serious Those are incredible movements, but still low end tourbillon, and beside, those are 'blancpain style' tourbi, Breget's are the top of the crop and are far more complex.
  6. Hi Stephane, where does your JLC comes from ? I've got one but it has brushed lugs (witch is incorrect), did you polished yourself ? Cheers
  7. Hi all, I really digg this watch and finaly found some good pics of the original for a 'side by side' comparison (sort of). Here are the pics : Front Gen : Rep : Caseback Gen : Rep: Side Gen: Rep: Obviously, a pretty bad rep, hour hads are too short, bad index marker @ 3 & 9, guilloch
  8. Nice find Asands Nice photoshop Everythingape
  9. Some digicam (Sony, for example) can do the bracketing in one shoot, making the whole process a lot easier... Mine broke, so I can't test it
  10. As some of you knwo, Nicolas Sarkozy is probably our future french president... He owns quite a few nice watch, and he's told to have a Breguet, witch he never wears in public place (being rich isn't popular in France, so he sticks to low end stuff while on TV like Breitling and Rolex). I've found this picture (taken in a private situation), my guess is that he's wearing a Breguet... can someone identify this model ?
  11. He's got quite a few nice watches, I've seen him wearing some Breitlings (TT Chronomat, Navitimer), some Rolex (Black face Daytona, Datejust), and he's told to have a Breguet... The biggest political watch collector is Julien Dray (Socialist spokeman), he own some patek (Patek 3970), gerald genta, a platinium Richard Mille, a FP Journe tourbillon, vintage VC... quite shoking knowing he's among the most lefty in the socialist party... Alain Jupp
  12. Gen (reply #6) com'on... we wanna know
  13. Yep... I agree, looks like HDR is useless for watch shooting, but for other subjects, like architecture, it's pretty amazing
  14. Fellow Mac user, you can get an advanced HDR piece of sofware here : Photomatix Pro 2.33 UB - Mac OSX 10.3.9 or later PPC/MacIntel If you have ever photographed a high contrast scene, you know that even the best exposure will typically have blown out highlights and flat shadows. Photomatix offers two ways to solve this problem:
  15. fake - rolex logo on cristal ;-)
