  1. Hey Matty, The only reasonable and logical solution to your problem is to buy them both and do a rather lengthy and detailed review of them with lots of mandatory pictures. Or your account will be deleted... hehehe j/k Sorry can't help you there Matty as I'd probably buy them both and stare at them while you tune out your girlfriend's voice. Sorry couldn't help you there either. This hobby is a serious business. Welcome. z
  2. I've thought about this as well. So far I haven't found a resolution yet. I'd like to find a watch smith that's rep friendly within the next few years so I can have a dependable individual service my reps. What I've seen so far though is that there aren't many rep friendly watch smiths around. So if I don't have any luck finding one in the next few years they'll just go unserviced or get the boot when they die. What other recourse do I have?
  3. Welcome. If you can't find info about the watch you want here I really don't know where else you could. Great info here along with even better members.
  4. Wait... brittt1 did you really buy one of those? If I may ask, how much did you pay for it? Also, can you just walk into a Seiko AD and buy one? Thanks and enjoy her.
  5. Welcome and consider yourself lucky that you found this place before pulling the trigger with those sites.
  6. If it is indeed in 98% condition then $23k isn't a bad deal no? Heck he's local so maybe I should do a recon???
  7. Welcome!
  8. Welcome Dennis.
  9. Great stuff. Thanks!
  10. Wow! An awsome collection.
  11. I do like these. I have a XL chrono version on my short list. Very classy while being sporty as well.
  12. Welcome you've come to the right place.
  13. Welcome. You've come to the right place.
  14. ^^^ Definitely agree about Omega lume. Omegas always have incredible lume.
  15. Ok... has anyone focused on a turning winder so long that you got dizzy enough to have to lay down???
  16. Welcome.
  17. If you've ever worked on a watches before a swap of an Asian 6497 clone with a Swiss version isn't too difficult, but if you've never done a swap before I'd suggest that you leave it to an expert. Good luck.
  18. Yep, welcome you're at the right place.
  19. You know I really couldn't care less who wears what or doesn't wear what. I wear what I like, period. But it does get my juices flowing when I see someone famous wearing a watch I like though, especially some hot chic wearing a large men's watch. Now that's HOT!!!
  20. Sometimes when I'm out helping my buddy coach his cubscout troop I gather the buggers around a circle, pull out my watch and say... "now let's syncronize watches". To this they look at me like I've been smoking the good stuff. You should see the looks on their faces.
  21. Welcome Jimmy.
  22. I'm sure glad to know I'm amongst like minded folks here.
  23. Welcome Andi.
  24. I'm a lume freak so I lay all my watches under a light and charge up the lume. Then I turn the lights off and just stare at the awsome sight that is lume. I sometimes do this for 30 minutes.
  25. After having seen a SD in action no other movement would fit the bill. The SD second hand moves so smooth that it makes other auto seem jerky.
