  1. Meh, is that it? Uninspiring mechanism, uninspiring model. Gen and rep. Still, some new PAMs must be on the way, a sign of things to come perhaps?
  2. That poster will get ripped a new one, that's for sure. What a moron, trying that on. I see James Dowling coming down the virtual corridor with a nail-studded shillelagh
  3. Watch out for that dodgy hour gear
  4. Well I don't know about you, but I go into special ops/stealth mode when I play golf, no mercy, take no prisoners etc. It's even been known for me to be stalking around a course past midnight into the early hours of the morning. Ask Admin
  5. I know you're either fishing, or trying to make a sarcastic point here Pugs, but I'll bite if only to point out a little hypocrisy. As you know, they are owned by one of the foremost luxury groups in the world, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey, so for starters I'd say that qualifies straight off. That and the 'prestige'
  6. Erm, it's called PVD, and along with ceramic, is one of the most popular types of finish on watch cases among enthusiasts. Not everything has to be shiny and bling you know.
  7. Glad it arrived safely. Gonna tell us what the bloody hell all the girly fuss was about then?
  8. Well I'll explain then shall I? This is a thread about Vertu, specifically rep versions - Maciek started this thread as he was looking into something 'above and beyond' the Nokia 8800 series, more luxury. This offering from LMVH is aimed squarely at that sector, and given what this forum is all about, I thought it relevant to post as it may stimulate discussion further, open the context up. That's after all what this place is all about. Not just a marketplace for people to post pages of "ordered mine but got no tracking yet" posts. That ok with you? Good good, carry on.....
  9. Aaach, you can all keep your Vertu's, rep or not. If you want luxury metal bricks, in the words of a B-list French actor weilding a sword...."there can be only one" Love it or (most probably if you're like me) hate it, you can't ignore it.
  10. Looks a nice summer late afternoon in NYC, and a great pic. Not sure about the girly 'inner wrist' thing though
  11. Sure many of you have already seen it, but today I received a "personal invite" to reserve and purchase this 'metal brick'. Price around the same as a new Monaco. Definitely aimed at being a Vertu-killer, and I must say its aesthetics (like Vertu) are not exactly doing it for me right now (the Stealth Phone?), but I'm intrigued nonetheless.
  12. Ah I see you beat me to it, didn't see this. I was joking however, as the well-publicised problems with T5 have nothing to do with this - it's a passenger terminal not a cargo/airmail facility.
  13. Probably in Terminal 5 BT, I'm sorry to hear this, and understand your frustration, but you need to get a grip here and calm down. I have had nothing but good experience using RM both International-Signed-For and Airsure. And that's shipping gens too, which incidentally do NOT cost
  14. Different case. So a pointless exercise.
  15. This watch represents just about everything TAG Heuer do wrong. It's a cheesy abomination in an insipid grey colour and 'celebrates' an overrated 'celebrity' who the media built up as if he was the reincarnation of Fangio and Senna combined. And that's just the gen! Already heavily discounted at a couple of places near me I've noted. There'll be no half-decent rep (thank god) as the Calibre S is an inhouse electromechanical movt - no other existing movt will fit the bill so your subdial counters will be faux.
  16. One minor thing to note about the BS, is that the finish is quite a little fingerprint-collector. Slightly annoying but not enough to spoil the evil beauty.
  17. Aha, so it was yours? Quite, you have every right to be [censored] off. Milsub - you owe someone an apology. Strange because that lume shot has been posted elsewhere recently, and it looked familiar (I know you also had a BS, if you recall our discussions last Christmas you-know-where ) but I couldn't place it until now.
  18. Well why not just post in the 'Wanted' section then instead of exhuming and reanimating the corpse of a thread from 2006? Jeez.....
  19. Hey Bricky, long time no see (shame about TRC). Age has not mellowed you I see Phew, thankfully my copyright permissions are all in order
  20. For EU folks, for the price/quality, you'll be pushed to beat this set from Cousins....
  21. Radiomirs take 26mm, specifically a 26/22 strap. No such thing as 27mm, does not exist. There's many strap options out there, but check out BOB straps for quality at a great price, or spring for something a little more expensive such as Europelli's Shell Cordovan. Hope you're over 50 if you're gonna sport a gold Radi
